This week I have mainly been watching

I'm inclined to think that they had the year of the invaion, the names of 'some' of the characters and the final outcome correct.
The rest isn't factual, names and timeframes were rejigged somewhat.
Definitely not enough made of the impact of the invasion to the language of the time, Old English, and the transition to Middle English through introduction of French idiom and Latin via the Church.

There is a very good programme on National Geographic on Sunday nights, repeated on Wednesday and also available with Virgin Media on demand.
It is about US Navy Top Gun wanabees, some of the air to air filming is stunning.
My tip is record it and save it, then watch it later without the ads.
Of course you must watch Deadliest Catch on Discovery, an all time great.

While channel hopping Saturday caught a gripping documentary about the real events that the great escape was based on, it's definitely worth searching out if your interested in the war or even the film

I'm interested but can you please tell me the name of the documentary and channel.

Don't know if this the correct programme but there is The Untold Story Of The Great Escape available on YouTube. Worth a watch if interested in the subject
Blimey they like an advert on YiuTube, very 3 minutes.
Not an easy watch. Hopefully all 13 Gestapo sentenced to death actually were.
Let far too many off as they were ‘useful’.

Has anyone watched Wayward on Netflix ?
I’m on episode 4 and I’ve got to admit it is mental, although very binge worthy.
If you like very dark thrillers etc be prepared to be shocked and intrigued at the same time.

The last, & final series of Brassic is even better than the first six.
Farmer Jim has got to be the funniest bloke on telly at the moment & the gang from (C)Horley are bang on non PC form. The stories get wackier.
Sad that this brilliant British comedy, and it is a comedy, is coming to an end.

This Guardian reviewer was not keen on Riot Women

I couldn't get past the dreadful advert for it which made it look desperately poor, Not read the Guardian piece but the summary that is displayed (not really knowing who Sally Wainwright is aside) pretty much seems to articulate my impression from the advert.

I'm not sure it's meant to be that deep. She seems to be criticising it for what she thinks it should be, rather than what it actually is. I did find the adoption thing all a bit contrived though.

Next week I shall mainly be watching
PLURIBUS by Vince Gillian creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

It would be very silly not to.
