This Is All So Bollocking Predictable!

That is exactly the problem
Possibly the oldest fan base in the country and no youngsters can easily get tickets
All gonna change very soon when the place is half full
I'd say that at away games at least there has already been a change with the average age coming down a fair bit over the last half season. Not to say that there still isn't a majority of hoary old bastards like me still (or that I don't sometimes still feel like a youngster compared to a lot) or that with a bit of on field success (HA!) the way ticket priorities work many of those lowering the average age now might struggle as I wouldn't be surprised if many weren't season ticket holders. But both partly because of & despite the crap a younger crowd have been more evident.

The problem is all seater stadiums, when the gobby kids all congregated in one area with no crumblies to dilute their "passion" they were happy and it meant there were areas that fans who wanted to actually watch the game could sit in reasonable comfort without being molested by the beery farty noisy anti social herberts.
Now they're all mixed up together and just piss each other off. Stadiums are big enough to accommodate everyone's idiosyncrasies there is no need for fans to tell other fans how to enjoy their Saturday afternoon
