This heat....

There’s speed restrictions on many tube lines already, and therefore less trains even though the temperature now is no higher than it was yesterday.

I’m heading into the office as it’ll be far cooler there than at home.
Time and a half yesterday

Furthermore, here's one for some of you to froth over ( no pun intended)

Leyton Orient's friendly tomorrow night will now be played behind closed doors, following advice from the metropolitan police & John Kettley.

Too dangerous to watch a match now

Apparently there's no such thing as climate change though 🙄
1976 was building the flats up near the General, in the Full Moon every dinner time to cool down. Blokes were getting carted off in abluences with sunstroke !
I wish it was 1976. 19 years old earning fortunes and in town most nights !

|Heading into the shop in a bit, awaiting my visit from royalty for services to computer repair, and gaming. My medal of bravery in the face of certain death. Should I fall today roofers please accept my bravery medal postumusly and know that i stood my ground and went down with bravery and valor.

Do please enlighten us all about all that you're doing to mitigate climate change? I'm sure we can all learn from your inspiring examples of lifestyle changes and selfless decision-making for the planet's greater good.
Have you stopped taking needless leisure flights? Never buy fruit and veg that's been flown in? Have a super-insulated loft and exterior walls at home? Heat pump rather than a ghastly gas or oil boiler, natch? An electric car must be a cert? A whole family of fervent cyclists, merrily whizzing along the road like ducklings following their parents? Never leave any appliances on standby? Follow a strictly vegan diet but without lowering yourself to consuming any of the energy-heavy processed foods? Ensure that none of your savings and pension are ever invested in anything remotely unsustainable?
I for one would love to know, and genuinely applaud you for being so conscientious. And I'd particularly commend the way you manage to have time left over to come on here and be so vehement about others' inaction.

We’re in Provence for a friends wedding. It was 38° again today. Been like this for weeks and probably will be for a few weeks to come. We had two days. Lucky us.

Wrong again. Posting a different opinion to those who claim climate change isn't happening.
You know full well that you're just mucking around with semantics now.
You claim climate change is happening. Are you ignoring it, or doing anything about your contribution to it?
(Although I guess that's simply the inevitable whataboutery in your strange book.....)
