The UK

There is nothing else. There is a govt - a lying, corrupt, incompetent one.

Yet you are doing exactly what they do - looking for excuses & blaming others.

I’d suggest you encountered an intellectual vacuum when you voted the way you did in 2016 & 2019, but then i’m sure you’d find a way to call me a socialist because of that.

I couldn’t give a shit if you did BTW - evidently calling someone a socialist is the worst you seem to think you can throw at someone.
Calling someone a socialist is the worst (polite) epithet that I can think of.

It implies someone who is wrong on almost every political and cultural matter and, despite the evidence of continual failure for 100 years, still think it will work (next time, comrade).
A cheerleader for exactly the divisions this government wants.

A he calls me an intellectual vacuum.
I am not at all devisive, I do not require others to do or think as I do, your thoughts and opinions are your own.

Primarily I object to people putting words in my mouth and trying to make out that I say or believe stuff that I do not. That is tedious but I am not letting that sort of thing pass without comment.

And that is where you are so entrenched. Deflection & blaming others conveniently excuses you, & this govt's corruption & behaviour.

You may hate the Tories now (& deep-down you must rue that you were sold a pack of lies) - I know I would be absolutely peed off in your position), but they absolutely love you & your ilk. They got your vote & now they don't give a shit.

Never mind eh? Voted 'Leave' & for the buffoon Johnson, but with any luck you'll be sunning it with the "ex-pats" in Spain in good time.

... but should you not agree with me completely I will call you a socialist, the worst epithet I can think of.
Sorry hackney. It does not work the other way round.

I may be many things, but a socialist is not one of them, unlike you I do not give a monkeys about what you or anyone else thinks or what they agree with, that is your business.

You are more than welcome to express your views, that most of them are quite ridiculous is not my problem.

I told you who I voted for and why. No excuses. That their 'corruption and behaviour' is off the scale is nothing to do with me.

I now consider the current Tory party to be socialist, social democrats at best. Before the 2019 election I did think their appalling performance to be primarily down to Teresa May and her closest supporters.

I actually thought that there might actually be some real conservatives in the party who would actually do as they promised, this turned out to be poor judgement on my part, but given the alternative, perfectly understandable.

Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh

You're deflecting again, even now!

Someone else suggested it sometime back, but your best bet would've been to spoil your paper or vote for one of the other candidates if you found the main 2 parties so dislikeable. However, your vote for the winning candidate is a mandate for the leader of that candidate's party.

My view is that had you not voted 'Leave' or Tory, your current propensity to deflect / blame others would be non-existent.

There is no UK no more. There is no England. There is no Leicester.
The England my brother lives in is a completely different one to mine. The Leicester I live in is completely different to the Leicester my mum lives in.
The Leicester I grew up in is different to Leicester 2021.
Too much generalisation& too many broad brush strokes.

I do and have told the truth in all these matters so how am I deflecting? Unlike your good self, who tells us nothing of interest or importance.

I have said on here on several occasions that I considered voting for the 'cock and balls' candidate but naturally you know much better than I what I was thinking than I would.

The duly elected and legitimate prime minister of this country, said, clearly and unequivocally, that they, the government, 'would fully implement the result of the referendum'.

He lied.

Everything that followed is a direct consequence of that lie. The blame, if that is what you want to call it, is right there. A fact in black and white.

By your logic you would have known before the last election that lies had been told and they had no intention of delivering what you expected. Given the "deal" as it is was on the table.

Yet you still voted for them.

Arguable but reasonably fair (for once).

As I said I came very close to spoiling my ballot with the 'cock and balls' logo.

In the end two things made my mind up, in the first instance I hoped that a new and changed government under Johnson would structure a proper Brexit but mostly it was a TV appearance by Corbyn in which he flat refused to tell us what his and the Labour parties policy on Brexit actually was.

That is correct, in an election that was all about Brexit he would not even outline his policy!

Your choice to tell us as much as you want to. As is the right of anyone else here.
Corbyn in which he flat refused to tell us what his and the Labour parties policy on Brexit actually was.
Probably because he knew that it was an impossible job as did so many others.

One was willing to lie to get to where he wanted, & the other was unwilling to say as much.

You can get votes with three-word slogans, ruffling your hair & acting like a buffoon, but it doesn’t actually get the job done.

The Socialist on here are not real actual Socialists, they just identify as Socialists. What do they do social wise, fuck all, this lot are genuingly the most self centred lot of them all.

Any of you pretend "socialists" like to tell me what you have done today for someone else ???

My moneys on fuck all, just like every other day of their life !!!

Surely you're aware of why he wouldn't outline a policy?
Labour were Remain, Corbyn and many left wingers had long wanted to leave the EU but not under Tory terms.
I assumed that if he'd said he was for Remain he knew that he'd have been accused of hypocrisy.

Once again, the obvious problem.

Concentrating on Socialist dogma and infighting, not the real world, just politics.

It is all the Labour Party have, they do not have the faintest idea of what ordinary, working people want from them, then, just as right now in Brighton, they are playing games of political intrigue and school boy politics.

Who on here has identified themselves as a socialist?

Not accused of being one, or assumed to be one, but actually said they were (there is a difference).

Northern working class cities are a dumping ground for the people the South doesn't want.
Northern cities are full of people who decided not to move South and Southerners who prefer t north.
'The people the South doesn't want' haven't been forcibly moved north (well a few have and that shouldn't have happened), there's a fair few down here I'd prefer to shift out, some of them voted Brexit.
