Stated on East Midlands Today last night that The Sheep were spending 161% of income and still didn't get promotion

Why only a 12 point deduction?
This is years of mismanagement not just one season.
Obviously Bolton weren't a big enough wake up call.
Expulsion from the league please.

🎶DID YOU CRY AT WEMBLEY 🎶

I think there was a rule change in December 2020. So the HRMC would become a preferential creditor, if Derby were to to enter liquidation or insolvency. Which would be the end.

There is still the issue of the stadium. That is a secured debt which dodgy Mel sold for way over the asking price, to a company which he owns. To falsely allow the club to fall within FFP thresholds. How does this play out in administration? Is that really still a club asset?

If Derby don't find a buyer, they are very likely to be liquidated. That buyer will have to find at least £50m to pay debts, before any investment.

This could have been us. We're extremely lucky how things panned out post 2004. Loads of local companies suffered or went bust as a result of our mismanagement. I hope that they survive and rebuild in the lower divisions. Equally, that's one of the relegation spots nailed on and it improves Forest's chances of staying up. Again.

I understood it could be 24 points in total. 12 points for financial mismanagement (9 this season and 3 deferred to next season) and a further 12 this season for going into administratio.

Certainly preferential creditor for unpaid PAYE and NIC deducted from wages and not paid over ... and in view of the fact they’ve not been making profits that’s what the debt is likely to be.

according to the athletic: the club has football creditors, who must be paid up to £10 million in full, as well as secured debt of £20 million owed to an American private equity firm and a tax bill of almost £30 million.

“It’s 50/50 they get liquidated,” said one source, while another said: “I can’t see how they get out of this — they’re fucked.”

The picture they painted in such depressing tones was one of a club that is worth less than nothing. Much less.

Did they? Well I never knew. Of course that's a defunct competition now, but I'm sure it was a big deal many decades ago...

I fucking hate Derby, almost as much as Notts. I bitterly resent the fact that fans of both are using this latest self-induced mess to try to rewrite our history and diminish our recent achievements. But Derby is a proper football club, with all that stands for, and has meant to the community, and I could never celebrate the loss of that, if it ever came to it.

Derby went into receivership around 2003, the club was then sold for £3 according to Wiki.
At the time I had £100 worth of shares which afterwards were not worth the paper they were written on.

Well I donated £100 to Foxes Trust back in about 2001 to help save the club.
I never saw what happened to it apart from a lot of vol au vents being scoffed in the hospitality suites by certain people on match days.

I like loads more on here put a few Bob in the kitty, still got the certificate, it was worth it for the evening with the birch hosting explaining just how close lcfc had come to going into the abyss. 1/2 hour as I recall.
thank the lord we did.

so why did the sheep make such a fuck of everything?
