The return of Bodgers

First there is no doubt Brendon Rodgers is a great manager but his alter ego Bodgers is a disaster.
Luckily Bodgers only makes as appearance when we have a big game or when we look like moving to the next level.
It’s was the same at Liverpool and last season Bodgers took over after Xmas.
He should have changed back from Bodgers to Brendon at half time and made his changes, we were obviously getting buried so go to a back 4 bring Praet and under on and take Tielemans and sharky off.
Playing with fear in the real big games and becoming fearful and the best word to describe it is bottling it.
Hope after this Brendon can play without fear from now and put Bodgers to bed once and for all,

Thankfully we only play Liverpool twice a season.

I’m not by any means saying I’m not happy overall it just seems we play with fear and it comes from the manager and it’s when the pressure is on, like last season.
I wouldn’t be at all confident in a cup final

It is not just Liverpool. It was the same last season with Manyoo (twice). If Rodgers was a genius manager Firmino would not be scoring exactly the same goal in successive seasons. Does Firmino score neaders from corners against anyone else.

Anyway, lets move on.

64 games unbeaten, it's not just Rodgers
I agree to a point but there is a fear with him when we have a big game or we are expected to put on a performance and the second half of last season can’t just be dismissed.
Don’t think he accepts it’s his fault when we go from hero to zero but it’s his management as he’s a good manager and it’s a flaw that he needs to try to address.

He's rectified this season by beating Man City, Arsenal, Leeds all away from home. Its not a fear in the manager, the manager can only do so manager. He can't tell players to not mark there men or shirk a tackle that is the players responsibility. Like the poster above says 64 games at home it's not just us. Liverpool are just simply on a different playing level to the rest of the Prem (Aston Villa game was one of those fluke games).

We really need to addressing defending and marking at corners and set pieces as it’s absolutely crap how we defend from set pieces marking fresh air.

One of the Sky team, the scouse phlegmthrower Carragher I think, said that Fofana has been given a free role to attack the ball whilst the others mark. If that was the case it wasn't a success last night.

I think your memory is wrong Daz. Leeds for a start. We look dodgy from corners free kicks and anytime the ball is flung in our box. It stems from the insecurity of the goalkeeper who although is a great shot stopper is woeful at commanding his area.

Zonal marking is not helping a lot of times the opposition is countering up by dropping off and seen loads of free headers from set pieces

Wasn't Leeds second phase of the corner?. We aren't a big team so we will always struggle.

Perhaps recruitment / management could be used to avoid having to "always struggle"?
Just a thought, seeing as corners free-kicks and crosses tend to occur in every game...
