….That the club’s hierarchy had taken so long to get rid of Rodgers was because they had a plan……and were waiting to get their man.
A man that would pick the club up off its knees and reinstall confidence, discipline and results. A man worth waiting for.

No. No plan. Embarrassingly entertaining the dregs, misfits and flops.

What the fuck has happened here, owners that were revered and admired throughout the football world. I can’t get my head round this at all.

I've said it a thousand times there is no one at the club who can advise the Owners, CEO, Board, on footballing matters. Forget Rudkin, I'm told the hight of his footballing career was Loughborough Dynamo, he should have been binned with Rodgers.
I'll reserve my judgement on the 3 incumbents until our future is confirmed either way..

Unfortunately that seems to be the case. Unreal

I have to ask:

1) How did it work before? Rudkin has been DOF since 2014, and they've made a number of good decisions since then which he must at least have played a part in. I don't know what he does exactly but he can't be completely useless - otherwise we'd have been in a mess much earlier.

2) What's changed? I think it all goes back to that one fateful day in October 2018 but certainly Vichai wasn't a football man either.

I absolutely agree with ‘2)’

I know it's only a theory but I read someone suggesting that with the 'mutual consent' announcement that maybe top wanted to keep Rodgers and it was him that forced tops hand hence no plan in place. With how Rodgers has been it's quite believable

The issue is that the owner trusted that Board to carry out there job, some of the failures were masked by the FA cup win. LCFC let the guard down, and in addition to this KP revenue suffered due to the pandemic.

overall, the fault lies within the board, they failed to be transparent in the summer on player transfers too

ill keep going on about these below, but

Amratey 10M sheffield United -we turned it down.
Demarai Gray 20M Bouremouth - we turned it down [he left on a free] club to afraid to make decision to just let go.
Tielemans paid 30M leaving on free
Maddison
Albrighton gave him an extended contract
Vardy same as above.
Adrein Silva
Rachid Ghezzal
Diabate
Rodgers-Fraud.---got rid of Dave Rennie changed everything that worked well in terms of play and took good players and destroyed them.
Claud Puel Fraud

waited for Southampton DOF [delayed our summer transfers]

Unfortunately, at some point making all those errors your going to get stung and that's particularly why we were are now in the process of being relegated, to the Championship/ possible administration.

Definitely not a football family, I was standing next to them at Crystal Palace well behind them as there is no directors box then.It was near the end of the season 13/14 and there body guards were explaining that we still had a chance of getting into the play offs ,they both looked baffled

Agree Filbo-

Also forgot to mention the whole Visa issue-Rodgers had to go to London to appeal ect-again club failed to plan for all this before the appointment. Whatever happens next-what we do know is that changes needs to be made. it cant be rocket science to get things all in order Brighton have done it.

I'd heard that somewhere, too.

Only nine years ago. But maybe (hopefully) they're quick on the uptake.;)
