Did they change it when i wasn't looking again?
How on earth was that first man utd goal allowed to stand??
 
I don’t understand it any more either.

I read somewhere this weekend that the current rule has been designed by people who did not play the game. I think that sums it up perfectly.
 
Offside should be offside. Plain and simple. When you start applying a human element it creates confusion, the chance for error, similar offences being judged differently in different matches.

Any player within the penalty area has to be interfering with play, it’s the main action area of the pitch.
 
Especially when the goalkeeper sets himself for a shot from a person who he thinks may be offside, but not sure. He then can't recover quick enough to save the shot from another attacker who scores whilst standing next to the first attacker who was offside..

Didn't Pep say in his post match interview we know we're we are.
I.e Old Trafford
 
I've hated a couple of recent decisions where the law states that an offside player can score because someone tried to intercept it cos people were running in behind marginally offside and they just got a slight touch. How anyone can think rashfords presence of where he was had no effect on the ball ending up in the net is bonkers.
Let alone the defenders dealing with it easily the keeper probably would have had time to come out & clear it away if rashford hadn’t been so far forward
