Do you happen to know how quickly your electronic records were transferred from the previous practice? So helpful and inclusive.
On the other hand, we moved into Westbourne early in May. Lots to do of course including registering with a new GP. Dealt with all the paperwork and reinstated my regular medication, which was actually quite easy.
As a new patient I booked an appointment to review my existing issues and meet my new GP.
It is at 10am Monday morning (tomorrow.)
There was a lot going on at the time and I had deliberately made sure that my supplies were well topped up before the move. If I recall correctly I was still unable to access anything online a few weeks later so I could not reorder in the normal way. Spoke to the receptionist explaining that I was very low on heart medication and a prescription was generated pretty quickly.Do you happen to know how quickly your electronic records were transferred from the previous practice?
So did recently but l dont think he saw meI saw a doctor once, about ten years ago. we have the worst surgery in England.
Thanks. I would imagine the delay in you getting access was because someone at your new practice would need to review the record to ensure that it had transferred correctly (and possibly whether there was any content that should be marked sensitive for some reason). There was a lot going on at the time and I had deliberately made sure that my supplies were well topped up before the move. It appears that the records were transferred quit quickly on the ‘main’ system but I had to wait a week or two for them to be available online for me to access.
They should have had you on the team doing the Darzi report. The trouble is Mac, people seem incapable of taking responsibility for themselves or their family which is compounded by finding it hard to get a GP appointment and when they do see a GP they’re more interested in covering their arses
