Surely that must be some kind of record in City's history?

We didn’t get relegated between 1939 and 1955. Only one promotion in that time, though, in 1953/4. And only one World War.

We were bloody close to it first Season after the war in Football League southern division.

The last time we were relegated from the top flight it took 10 years to get back.
Not 100% sure I've got 10 years left!
