The Football News Show

Very well summed up....Enzo is no mug and will walk if funds aren't available....I'm hoping he sits down with top and not his useless cronies to discuss taking the club forward.
I would imagine he'll have a long list of potential players he'd like to bring in and if that involves selling kdh to fund 2/3 then so be it....but I'm also hoping that releasing/selling some of the dead wood will free up much needed revenue.

If money is raised for 2/3 players by selling KDH what is the point. How much will that cure the financial shortfall?

Whether Balague is Enzo's mouthpiece or not, it is what is said that matters. They have to avoid the Rodgers fiasco being repeated or Enzo, like any self respecting and ambitious man will react.

Tbh what’s he expecting working outside the big 6 ?The flip side of all this is he could go to Seville, be out in 6 months and where then?

In reality he is still a managerial novice and only the 2nd coming of Pep, somewhere in Balague’s mind.

Selling KDH before 30 June means that pure profit will appear in the 23-24 accounts – and maybe stop us exceeding the EFL limit of £15m plus 2x PL limit of £35m and therefore getting an EFL points deduction ready for the next time we darken their doors.

Spending £30m on replacement players after 1 July will appear in the 24-25 accounts, when hopefully we're more in control of the losses having ditched many of the high earners and in receipt of more revenue due to being in the PL.

The transfer fees will appear over how many years of the contract. I would also hope some of the other players bought last year will hold or increase in value.

A key issue last summer and this summer is how many players have run down their contracts to leave for free (except Danny Ward). That issue will reduce next summer and beyond.
