Taking the Knee

I noticed yesterday that Motherwell players didn’t take the knee against Rangers.
On further investigation, both Motherwell and Dundee Utd have refused to take the knee since the end of March.
They said the action wasn’t working anymore.

What do we conclude from this comment - that immigrants have taken out more from the UK than they have contributed?
yes, it is the single point of immigration to gain more money for the person moving to another country.

I don't think even you could put an argument up against that.

They DO NOT move countries to improve the new country, its for personal wealth 100%, not saying sometimes it adds value but the reason for moving is this only.

This is all a bit conflicting - are you saying they shouldn’t gain personal wealth?

Surely if they didn’t, they’d be accused of sponging, not contributing to British culture & all those other sweeping statements some are prone to make?

where did l say that, or where did l say its wrong ?

My family are partly immigrants, from Ireland, and the Jewish part from l guess Russia or easter Europe, then Scandinavia.

l stand by what l say completely, what's the problem, for me, its a fact. If it isn't, explain how.

That depends on which immigrant group that you consider of course.
I wasn’t specifying any group - I believe the original suggestion was there was no British culture left at all.

Since a fair bit of British culture owes so much to immigration & overseas influences, we all have our version of what British culture means to each of us.

You want to feel downtrodden and abused, is what I'm reading.

Ad you talked about taking out I presumed that you were talking economics not cultural enrichment

That makes no sense at all. What is the ‘everything’ you suggest that has changed leaving you with nothing it seems?
It makes perfect sense, British culture has been watered down the same as our bloodline. You never add to the conversation just ask questions. This country was a major economic power long ago long before mass immigration . So it has not exactly improved us?

Britain’s had immigrants for centuries. And now you’re complaining about a ‘watered-down bloodline’.

I would imagine there’s many things that some hold dear to their hearts as “British” while being ignorant about where it originated from.

And regarding economic power, it must be the reason why this country still has to go cap in hand to other countries to cover employment shortages in certain sectors.

perhaps if our schools were not overcrowded we could give our kids the education they deserve, to fill the gaps in the job market? not that we would need so many in that market if the country had limited immigration .Our resources are stretched in housing, hospitals and welfare for the same reason. A pensioner gets £7500 PA a dingy diver costs £28000 PA how can that be right.

Cap in hand to whom?

Wonder when I'll find paradise
Somewhere there's a home, sweet and nice
Wonder if I'll find happiness
Never give it up now I guess

Walkin' down the street, smoggy-eyed
Looking at the sky, starry-eyed
Searchin' for a place, weary-eyed
Crying in the night, teary-eyed
