TAKE YOUR FUCKING MASK OFF.

Maybe there's a lot to be said for the Swedish approach. We are an overpopulated island anyway and removing the older and less fit members of society from circulation frees up Government money earmarked for pensions and disability benefit?

When Boris said that he was going to address the 'social care' issue, I for one, was not expecting a cull on the elderly.

I stopped believing the Covid stuff a month or so ago, I just don't think it's as serious as is being made out, I'm not sure the motives behind it all.

I wear mask when I should though because I imagine if you're very old or very young or generally an anxious person then I guess it's a pretty scary time right now and if me wearing a bit of cloth over my face makes people feel safer then it's really not a big ask.

In my opinion, if you don't wear a mask then you're a bit of a selfish twat.

There are very few masks in Sweden. There has been no lock down and very little signs of a second wave despite testing for all being readily available. Yes higher incidence rates than Norway and Denmark but with schools, shops, restaurants and pubs being open from the start that is to be expected. Off to a ' Reggae Got Soul' night tonight and will be happily be able to drink to 1.00am.

Social distancing is observed without government intervention, businesses remain open and people are happy. If you want to wear a mask it's personal choice.
And thats the way it should be.

Wouldn't we all feel safer if no one wore a mask?

I read a report this morning which inter alia said the death rate in Sweden was 10 times that of other Scandinavian countries.

Broadly true, however the figures are calculated and collected in very different ways, so very difficult to compare.

The important thing is that Swedish Hospitals have not been overrun and the overall death rate in Sweden is within normal variations.
