Such a shit time to be a City fan….

These Johnny come lately guys don’t know the half of it. And some of the longtimers should know better.
Yes we should have seen out the win but that guy Osimhen is a player.
Napoli are a blooming good side and also know how to use the dark arts.
And the ref seemed to pull us up on everything yet not see similar stuff from them.
I’ll take 2-2. Looking forward to the delights of Naples in December.

Im sure most of us have been fanatical Frank types, in years gone by. Follow the Citeh, win or lose. Now Im older and more grumpy, I want to enjoy the games, be excited! Im afraid that I just cant get excited by the football Im seeing now. Its boring, end of. Awfully sorry.

Spot on. We’re still novices in Europe. To be fair at 2-0 we obviously should have won but I sat there in disbelief thinking how are we 2 up.
What I will say was it was a great game to watch. Very entertaining

Napoli are a good side, but our defence made them look even better!
BR should have shut that game down at 2-0.
Ffs hurry back JJ and young Wes!!!
I'm still somewhat baffled by some of BR's substitutions in games.

It is not just us, it is across the whole Premier League. Modern possession based football is boring and the excitement and unpredictability that made English football the best 'watch' in football is being gradually removed.

The lesser sides used to be able to ruffle a few feathers by being energetic and determined, a bit rugged even but that is being squeezed out of the game. 'Big' teams want their multi million £ assets protected and their position at the 'top table' ensured and this just the start.

We a heading towards being another 'celebrity driven' entertainment, the 'stars' are now more important than the team or the game, it is becoming tedious. My Sky Sports package is up for renewal in a few weeks, seriously thinking of dumping it and will probably do so should they try and increase prices from my current 'good' deal.

I’d get a new hobby.

Last nights game? It was as exciting a game as you could wish to see. We went toe to toe with em for much of the game, somehow found ourselves two up and hung on desoerately for a point in the end

It is a tragic time to be a Leicester fan. Those two trophies in the cabinet and drawing a game with Napoli; who are joint-favourites with ourselves to win the Europa League.

I could cry...

It was a hugely entertaining game. They were fitter than us and used both wings really well and had an aerial presence up front that we lack and will be an ongoing issue again this season. (Chelsea are now a very different proposition, for example, with Lukaku bullying centre backs)
Bertrand is no JJ and without Little Wes and Evans we are struggling to find any consistency at the back.
Good atmosphere and we didn't lose!

Yeah it's awful. English teams have really struggled in Europe with this turgid football.

Maybe just me then. Ill get a different hobby.

Let's go back to 5-2-3.

A flat back 5, three CDs that can hoof the ball long, 2 midfielders to leave studs in the ankles of the opposition's forwards, & 3 attackers to chase the long ball.

I did not say that it was not successful and you most certainly do get some good games but an awful lot are not.

I did not see last nights game and was really talking 'generally', maybe it is my age or that I rarely get to top level live football these days but I am not getting as much out of it as I once did.

For comparison, I have taken to watching a few Championship games on the 'Red Button', standard is way lower but I tend to enjoy the games rather more, make of that as you will.

Maybe I’m too old, too set in my ways, too driven by nostalgia for what we never had. But never a day passes when I don’t think about the Citeh, when I don’t get a warm feeling for having won the Cup, the League, and for playing in Europe against teams like Napoli. I still laugh when I see families up on the Fudge Coast kitted out in Derby and Notts colours, and give thanks that we’re no longer pissed upon by Ipswich and Blackburn, still less The Gas and Harlow Town. For me this ain’t no hobby, or a fad, or fricking pastime, grown men kicking a bit of leather about, its something I’ll take to the grave with me, gladly, whatever other nonsense the Sky coonts, the VAR coonts, the Talkshite coonts, the FIFA/UEFA/FA coonts come up with, because this love is my love, forever more.
