Knife & Fork pending
So they are now going to "tunnel" the A303 where it passes the ancient stones. More madness at a mad cost!

This project has been on the stocks for 30 years +. And if anyone has ever done the trip to South Devon via the A303 (i do it about four times a year, my mother-in-law lives in Exeter), the road from Amesbury to Mere is one long bottleneck. So the road needs to be dualled - and Stonehenge (and all the surrounding sites) need to be protected

........Tuesday's at The Bell,Wetherspoon's in Amesbury is "Neolithic Club". The menu caters entirely from the later Bronze Age and a working knowledge of how to use Iron Age knives and forks is advisable!
(The premises is not yet able to offer ordering meals at table on the Wetherspoon's App but 'stone tablets' for this purpose are available if required).
Bon Appetit!

Consider Avebury to be well above Stonehenge ,also if i remember right it was free unlike the mortgage job that is Stonehenge,if you take in the scale of Avebury it is breathtaking ,one defensive ditch alone was around 50 metres deep, my daughters partner took me on a day out with Aveburyin the morning and Wells Cathedral in the afternoon ,for a 2nd class stone mason like my self it was a real bucket job!
