Is it just me or has the dry summer screwed the potato harvest?
Depends what variety they are BBBMy tomatos are still going. How long before they die off?
My first and second earlies were great, slightly surprised that my maincrop hasn't been as prolific (numbers and size). Broad beans and green beans did well, peas ok, carrots, beetroot, broccoli and cauliflowers disappointing, brassicas nowhere to be seen. Onions good quality but rather small, garlic even more so. Salad leaves all done well (lettuce, spinach, chard). Haven't lifted leeks or parsnips yet. Tomatoes flowered prolifically but fruit has been disappointing, slow to ripen and quite bad blight. This is my first year with a vegetable garden (I've just dabbled in the past) so it's all about learning I guess. Is it just me or has the dry summer screwed the potato harvest?
