Again you are not kneeling for BLM its against all forms of Racism why can't some people comprehend this
Tories must be loving this mind

128000 dead and counting, almost daily stories of sleaze and corruption , but hey let’s get angry about - men kneeling for 5 seconds and statues .
Working a treat .

Then why not call it that and remove the BLM connotations?

As I have said before, I have taken part in anti racist 'events' many times, from street protest to 'Rock against Racism' and 'Kick it Out'. I will not kneel to Black Lives Matter or that thug who was killed resisting arrest.

(Apologies to Hackney for yet more 'virtue signalling'.)

When it was kick out Racism nobody said a word, but the phrase Black lives matter is divisive and subconsciously suggests other lives do not. It is also a political movement that wants to defund the police and erase sections of our history. The booing is nothing to do with not supporting black players or racism its because people that have never been slaves are trying to make people that have never supported slavery feel guilty.

You are not kneeling for BLM. BLM have nothing to do with the kneeling that is a total different organisation altogether. This is what people are getting confused about. BLM is a party that want to voice their rights through protest and violence. This is just a silent protest against all forms of racism Black, White etc.

Then change the name and see how the booing stops

There were plenty who didn’t agree with Kick Out Racism.
Do you know what defund the police actually means?

Players no longer wear the BLM patch, it’s been replaced by ‘No Room For Racism’.

Nit sure what else they can do to distance themselves from BLM.
They should never had started doing it the first place. They should have told Wes Morgan to do one. Bending the knee for an American criminal was never a wise move.

It too late for a rebrand now. By jumping on the BLM and Wank bandwagon they have made a rod for their own backs and they know it

I bow to the power of that carefully crafted response.
In all honesty & with social media now making it easier for you to contact them directly, why don’t you get in touch with a handful of our black players & state why you oppose them taking the knee?

Or you could write to the club? Let us know what their replies are to you.

Seriously, if it bothers you that much, you’ll do it. I don’t think anyone here wants a situation where our own players are being booed literally seconds before the start of every home game.

No it is not, you are being duped.

Up to you what you believe but I believe the piss is being taken big time. Like I said above, if it is against all forms of racism it should just say so. All lives matter or no lives matter, simple as that.
If they want to shove their politics down my throat them I will boo them if if wish. I don't need political lectures from footballers.
It is 'NFL', normal for lefties.

It is political dogma, they believe it so you have 'agree' and believe it too.

'All white people are racist', 'all men are rapists' and the rest. I am having none of it. Politically correct bollocks.

it's 5 seconds.

if you don't mind me saying (i bet you do) but that sounds massively snow flakey.

the fucking PL anthem, purely commercial, takes longer than that. yet not a peep.
the endless minutes silences, often for political figures, take longer than that. yet not a peep.
the game is riddled with sponsorship from companies that bring misery to thousands. yet not a peep.
the game is awash with money from corrupt states that place zero value on human life. yet not a peep.

my point: there is shit loads of stuff around football that is objectionable, but the one hill you chose to die on relates to black footballers and the abuse they receive every week.

its nowt to do with george floyd. its nowt to do with 'all lives matter'. that's been made clear since its inception. but i know, without doubt, you and the gang will continue to say it is. so hopefully you can understand why people will question motives.

It is sad to see this become so divisive, but I suspect the whole idea was for it to be so. The whole thing is wrapped up with Floyd, the knee and Black lives matter to an extent that it is inseparable, the imagery is obvious. I will happily stand with anyone on here against racism but I will not support a racist organisation or a vicious thug. Not now, not ever.
Who said this?
Think you’ve missed at least one word out there.
Context Hackney.

All part of the war against ordinary, apolitical people, especially those not on the politically correct/woke bandwagon.

You seem to be a decent bloke, we have different views but that's ok part of the 'rich tapestry' and all that. What I find so astonishing is that you simply do not see the agenda here, the shear divisiveness of identity politics.

I’m just asking who actually said all white people are racist and all men are rapists?

Just a general observation Hackney, I wasn't quoting anyone.

The context is simple enough, I see the football issue as a deliberately divisive act part and parcel of the activist left's fascination with Identity Politics. This is designed specifically to break up and destroy any persons or organisations not on board with the 'progressive agenda'.

To me this is absolutely clear as day, you think I am a nutcase. Oh hum...

I see nothing wrong with a progressive agenda (though i'm guessing you deem this as the 'wrong' kind of progressive) - it shows we're learning from our past mistakes & on a good path to eradicating prejudice & inequality.

Anything else is :

1. At best standing still (i.e. keeping things as they are because it suits certain folk or mindsets)
2. At worst going backwards (because it means people get even more entrenched on both sides - those opposing equality become more hostile at the thought of change or using whatabouttery like 'all lives matter' to halt any form of progress or even just basic understanding or dialogue; those seeking change become more extreme in their measures to try & get the others to see their point, which causes the first group to dig their heels in further

The current situation is '2'.

Your lack of self awareness is astounding.

'Dialogue'? From a man who brands anyone who disagrees as a ' knuckle dragger' or worse.

Laughable

Reducing police police budgets, which I do not agree with.
you missed out the important part.
Using that money to fund programs that mean these people don't need to come into contact with the police.
The history of policing in the UK and the US is that of shuffling more non-police work onto the police so the govt can save money by not running say a domestic violence centre or rape victim counselling service or mental health services
Police used to catch criminals, then they had to be social workers, counsellors and psycholigists etc because the govt didn't want to spend all that money on the appropriate service.
defund the police is a terrible name, it really means reallocating funds back to where they were before the police got stuck with the job.

No, it’s anyone that harbours racist thoughts &/or refuses to engage or even bother to understand with why those players are taking the knee.

when someone commits a crime in this country there is a army of people protecting that person, lawyers and do-gooders, etc. but very few to protect the victim. I would rather defund them and help the victim.
