So Much For Seagrave

Whats the point of a multi-million pound training complex with golf courses, video games suites, cinemas and luxury hotel facilities if you can't even score a faacking goal against shitty Burton Albion or bollocking Wycombe faacking Wanderers?
Where's Jock's quarry sand hill when you need it?

Me and Mac used to rely on Soho 'ramping up the members' at least once a week with Jimmy Jones-esque posts, very witty and it almost like shooting fish (or squirrels) in a barrel, He's now gone at the job, morphed into Alan Carr, I am depressed.

I sometimes think that if the match result does not matter in these friendly games, why not hold them behind closed doors at a training facility. There City can lose 8,9,10 nil and it don't matter, as it not shown all over the net.
I know the revenue is good for so good lessor team but if they have the cheek to keep beating us then bollhooks to them.

Pre-season friendlies used to mean so much...I took Mrs Eggs on one of our first dates to City away at Kenilworth Road pre-season...sat behind a pillar...if memory serves, Super Stevie Howard scored (although I am open to correction on that - I was a bit nervous she might never want to see me again after the date).

These days its picnic-blanket-print lime green kits on the You Tube.

Modern football is rubbish etc etc

(and at least we managed a draw with Luton)

I went to AFC Bournemouth v Leicester pre season when I was about 7 or 8. So it must've been 1972? Anyway stood behind the goal and Peter Shilton came out and took my hat off my head and then wore it for the warm. He gave it back

I've never been to a friendly in my life, City v Burnley in the FA Cup 3rd/4th play-off might have well have been, Went to Hinckley Utd v LCFC in 2008 but never got past the bar

These 'matches' are simply legstretchers so don't treat them as anything else.
We have them at smaller clubs to generate a few bob for them...

Similarly why spend all that money then go to Surrey? Surely our faciliy is better then that

Er you’re playing in Wycombe and then 3 days later you’re playing 20 miles away in west London. Or come down on the day, play in Wycombe, go home, and 36hrs later come down the night before as you’re playing at 3.00 on the Saturday.
So what do you reckon?

Er I bet you're a right laugh at parties.

They wouldn't do that during the season as they get to use all the state of the art, all singing and dancing recovery equipment they spent all that money on.

I "reckon" the best course of action would be to use that and that way they can see families etc too.

2000 tickets sold for tomorrow so someone told me today ! ls that right ? if it is its tremendous support, Manure were there last week.

Fleckney, a few days away is good prep for the Europa League. It also takes people out of their comfort zone a bit plus it’s good for camaraderie. It gives Rodgers some extra time with the players to work with them on all manner of things.

Anyway who doesn’t like a few days away?

The past two times we played there we were only given the upper tier. We’ve sold that (apart from the severely restricted bits in the very corners I think) and about half of the lower tier. Decent enough I reckon.
