So... if all the none mask wearers and anti vaxers

India is 117th in the list of countries by cases per million, their horrible situation is only newsworthy because the BBC have decided it is. Probably teeing us up for an Indian variant to put us back into lockdown at some point.

They are 155th out of 167 health systems measured globally so it's permanently overwhelmed, probably why 26000 peo

Considered view from the un-vaxxed.

I had to be tested, twice in fact, in the last couple of months of last year. I badly needed heart procedures for atrial fibrillation and a negative test was required before I would be admitted. Both negative, procedures carried out.

In a general sense I see no reason for me to get tested, I have no symptoms and feel fine. Since the NHS does not treat people in the early stages go covid, I really do not see the point anyway.

As for regular testing, once or twice weekly, I consider that as part of the project, preparing the population to accept regular vaccines and boosters/updates in order to introduce a covid 'passport' that will, in time, turn into a full digital ID system.

Whilst I am still able, I will resist that.

Serious question AFC, do you have a passport or driving licence?
I had to renew my photo card DL recently. When I did so I was somewhat surprised to learn that I didn’t have to supply a photo as they used the one that was on file for my passport.

They can still transmit it to other people who then do get tested. I have to do the lateral flow tests twice a week for work. If I encounter someone who is asymptomatic and not wearing a mask there is the, admittedly slim, chance that I could get it.
what is this mysterious thing that we can't see, touch or smell live ? It seems to be that rare no one as every seen it but they talk about like sailing off the edge of the world. I think it only lives in peoples heads who want it to live in their heads. Is it like the Loch Ness monster or Bigfoot, what is it, as anyone seen it ?

There is no real evidence that asymptomatic transmission of Covid-19 is a thing. For someone to be infected from person to person contact, they would need a level of infection high enough to overcome that persons immune system.

Like all viruses, the SARS Cov 2 is everywhere but the concentrations are small and the immune system shrugs it off, for you to be infected enough to make you ill you need a high concentration, ie a substantial viral load. For that to happen the viral load in the person passing it on would have to be very high indeed which would put them at home, in bed, feeling rather unwell.
asymptomatic is 100% lie,

the ads say "people who don't know they've got it are passing it on without knowing"

If you believe this you are too stupid to be out on your own, wake the fuck up and smell the bull shit.

Getting lectured by an Irving fan-boy...I'm sure your mate would have a lot to say about the origins of the badge in AFC's profile pic.

It is interesting, we have people, on this very forum, who seem to support 'cancel culture' and are happy to see people with the' wrong opinions' have their careers, their lives destroyed.

I consider myself to be 'right wing', but my reality is that I support independence of thought, self reliance, free speech and, equality of opportunity.

Those kinds of thoughts put me in a minority at the present time, sure some of the problems arise from some serious and very nasty government propaganda, but rather a lot of people are buying into this narrative. This may well start with simple social exclusion, but we all know where it ends.
you're not actually a minority, the thick, stupid side are propped up and encouraged by MSM and Social Media into a false sense of security. To a man they are weak people, its like revenge of the nerds, they have been given a voice were the real power of thought as its hands held behind its back while the nerds slap it in the face.
It will come back to these weak people in spades when the tide turns and their weakness won't be protected anymore. Its turning now.

I don't use Twitter, Instagram etc.
Me neither. An hour or two on here is pretty much the extent of my social media.

I do read a couple of 'News' forums/blogs which give me an overview of what is going on, covers pretty much all media, from the Redtops to some rather obscure online publications. Plenty of links so a wide variety of views.

Other than live sports, I rarely watch television and avoid 'News' shows altogether. Good for my blood pressure.

It's a pity that the MSM has ceased to be a reliable source of information, staggering that nobody's spoken out really. Fortunately, there's plenty of data out there (some of it from the Government's own sources) which separate facts from the rhetoric.

It's all a very sad state of affairs, I can't believe that this is happening in what I thought was a free country but hopefully we might be able to enjoy Summer until the inevitable lockdown when seasonal 'flu returns around week 38. The only hope is that more people resist the most disproportionate measures.

It’s more likely that MSM is accountable to be factual . The drivel the likes of bnet get excited about isn’t. An opinion is worthless out not grounded in fact . It’s not really difficult iiif you possess even a semblance of critical faculty

You do not think it is strange that no other opinion is allowed?
😂😂 I have that idiot on ignore. It’s beautiful to see the ignored user pink box and then replied ripping him to shreads for being an idiot by all different posters.
You’re wasting your time with that one. Thick as pig shit and never actually come up with his own thought in his life. He just reads the Sun editorial for his opinion 😊
Following the science has told us not to wear masks. Then to wear masks. Wash our hands at every opportunity. Then it don’t matter because it doesn’t stay on surfaces.
Anyone with a logical brain knows wearing a muzzle is bullshit.
If you have the lurgy you’re staying at home and not coughing and spluttering over every other fucker.
If, like many many folk you show know signs of the lurgy you’re not coughing and spluttering over anyone so you’ll not be passing it on to anyone. Especially if they are choosing to wear a muzzle.

Truro...

Those graphs show what many of us have been saying for most of the last year, it's a virus following the seasonal pattern of a virus. The only unknown is when an outbreak is triggered, invariably in the winter but it can be at anytime from October to March, once triggered it follows its course, none of the things we did altered that.

The only thing the measures actually did was limit peoples exposure to the virus during the summer months when it is weak and muted. No exposure, no (low level) infection, no antibodies so no resistance to its return in the autumn, simple as that.

Seems to me that the initial outbreak in March 2020 was due to it's novelty, i.e. no herd immunity at all. The subsequent Winter outbreak followed all prior characteristics (week 38 - 16) and was marginally more deadly than the 5 year average, although that's distorted by the level and inaccuracy of testing. None of the NMIs altered the trajectory of infections or deaths at all and the vaccine roll out doesn't show any obvious affect on it either. My guess is that this year will be much like last, with Covid-19 as the dominant 'flu strain which will sadly take the low hanging fruit over Winter but we'll at least see a truer measure of vaccine efficacy.

From now until October we should be mixing as much as possible and preparing a focused protection of the vulnerable rather than any more damaging full lockdowns. All that assumes that all this is actually about Public Health of course, and I still think that there's something more sinister going on. Hopefully it's only greed.

The 'novelty' of covid-19 is why a lot of experts believe that is is, essentially, lab modified. Whether it 'escaped' or was 'released' is open to conjecture.

Even so, the impact in March and April was massively emphasised by the policy of releasing infected people into the care home system, which caused the bulk of the deaths at that time.

Remember, according to government figures the average age of people dying with covid was around 82.

I’m aware of at least 2 people in their senior ages that have died from the virus, & a fair number younger than this (relatively fit & good health) that were either diagnosed with the virus or showed significant symptoms (pre-testing) who now display what is known as ‘long-Covid’ to varying degrees.

So to measure it just on deaths, is a narrow way of looking at this.

Agreed, we should measure it on recoveries too...

Yes the NHS only tell the truth fucking hell they are the biggest liars in all this scam
