Smash the Gangs!

FWIW I'm no lefty. I've voted for four of the five main political parties over the last decade. I vote based on the policies advocated, not the colour of the badges.

Everything you say is just the same boring Reform nonsense that is spewed out by Farage and co. Show me any view you hold that is not an identikit one that has been provided to you? Where do you disagree with Reform?
If my views align with Reform then so be it. I have the conviction of my own opinion to stand against yours for scrutiny.

FWIW more people in this country agree with me than do not. That may be hard for you to understand but that is fact. People have had enough but you stay in your bubble and believe the opposite.

It is easy to tell that you voted for 2 Tier. You spend a lot of your time blaming Tories, far right racists etc. for anything that is wrong and continues to be wrong in UK. Just like a good government stooge.

At some point Labour , and those that support them, will have to take ownership for what is happening under their watch.

Enjoy the next four years of the adults being in charge

I can. Of course I can, it's obvious.

I don't blame anybody for looking at these images and being angry about them. I'm angry.

The difference is in who is to blame and how the problem is resolved.

I don't blame the people crossing the channel. In the same shoes, I'd probably do the same thing. I don't blame the French either. It's impractical to ask a country to act in a way that is counter to their best interest. Throwing money at France is a nonsense.

The people responsible are those that made so many countries dangerous and the sort of places you want to leave. The UK played a significant part in making these countries the way that they are. But there are others more responsible.

The Conservative government created boat crossings. They were practically unheard of before they changed the asylum system. This is been disasterous.

The solution is in recognising what we've done wrong in the past and the present and correcting it. Labour are taking steps in this direction but they are pretty feeble at the moment. The overwhelming difficulty is in the toxicity of the conversation about immigration in the UK. Most of us want the same thing but we spend far too much time pandering to, and adding oxygen to, the idiots that just want to scream at anybody that looks different. Too many that want an improved immigration system routinely spout racist or ugly narratives.

If we all think and act constructively and compassionately, we can solve the issue.
Some good points to think on there 👍

Sorted it all out with Daughter yet?
Yes thanks.

Of course all can change politically in the UK and Europe thanks to Brexit.

But those two topics are nothing to with gangs and how best to deal with them.

My view is that France can and should do more. And a Europe-wide response is needed as Italy has a much larger problem with boats.
