Since getting one point from our first seven games…

we seem to start bad most of the time, possible not prepared well or lack of motivation, and the quality of the players finding its level after this. I don't think we started well against Spurs, but we gradually turned it into a great performance. Talent will always find its way, I'm blaming Rodgers by the way for being shit and making a good team bad.

Well it doesn't take a genius to see the upturn has coincided with Danny Amarty being replaced by basically anyone.
It's not his fault whatsoever, he's just not up to it ' he's not a premiership player he's just not intelligent enough to read or keep up with the game.
I'm sorry but this was down to Rodgers bloody minded attitude and poor management IMO, And is it just a coincidence that all these players are suddenly all fit since the transfer window??
Regardless let's hope its all onwards and upwards from now on.

I know last night was a bit of a free hit for Everton, but apparently they were very poor. Lots of their fans seem convinced that Dyche's appointment has come too late and they'll go down.
Let's hope so.
Strange one, I wanted Everton to lose as it makes us safer but I'm aware that we could move up the table and Liverpool, in current form, are catchable.

I wouldn't make the thieving scallies feel important in any way by specifically wanting to catch them. Just finish as high up as possible, to snare a few extra £m.......

Three generations of glory hunting scousers in my (not so) smug brother in laws family, none of whom have ever watched their team. My lad, nephew and I wouldn’t say a word which would have the twat on tenterhooks.

Going back to the original subject we’ve still a way to go. I’ve got expectation that we’ll be fine now but we need to get out of this mess ASAP. Two good results don’t make a summer. But at the moment we’re miles ahead in aptitude, application and skill over the bottom three

I agree we'll be OK but you're not out of it until mathematically safe.

I remember 96/97, we had a great season hovering around mid-table but it was a win at Hillsborough in last but one game that guaranteed survival. We won the last one as well and finished 9th with 47 points. Sunderland were 18th with 40 points

Had a look at the rest of our fixtures. Yes we've got some of the BCCs but we've also got enough games against those around and below us, to be confident of picking up enough points to be safe, and also help give them more nervous games ahead.

Correction, it was a 1-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday but at Filbert Street that guaranteed survival... and a brilliant stress-free trip to Blackburn for the last game.

I hope we don't leave it so late this season. If we stay largely injury free and stay brave I think we'll be ok but want to see that we can scrap when we need to & break down teams who are a little more defensively minded than both Villa & Spurs.

Hence me almost wanting Liverpool to not beat Everton.

imagine where we'd be in the form table without the 4 straight losses after WC?

Thanks for some reason I didn't make it so assumed it was away
