Romeo played in the school boys final against Swansea schools at Filbert Street, I think it was 1964 or 65. Shilton was also in goal.
A decent crowd as well if I remember right.

He did indeed. My first ever match. It was 1965. My grandad said 3 players would make it. Romeo, Shilton and the CB who was Jeff Blockley.

Always remember when Gary Newbon was doing a boxing ringside corner 'interview' for the telly. Can't remember who the boxer was now but he gargled,spat out,missed the bucket and hit Newbon full in the face with it. Hilarious!

I was at that game too: As I recall Romeos pen portrait in the single sheet program said "Romeo Challenger - A very colourful character"
