Set piece defending

We are dreadful at it. Always look like we are going to concede from them. Maybe it is because Kasper doesn’t dominate his area like he should, it puts more pressure on the defenders to win the ball.
He should be knocking people out of the way to get to it and it definitely contributed to Evans og

Set pieces are rubbish full stop. Defensively & offensively.
Even a bigger problem regarding going forward when you are the worse side in the league for creating chances from open play.

The only header we won was the OG. We're as bad attacking our own corners (when the corner beats the near post).

How did firminho score from a free header on the penalty spot?? Who was marking him? Was it ünder? cos his attempt at winning that header was up there with Gallagher's against Chelsea FA cup.

It was under & his defending of the corner could be described as cowering with his hands over his head & his eyes firmly shut

Surely he shouldn’t be in our box at corners . I doubt it’s his strength when he’s 5’ tall . Why don’t we have anyone on the posts? That must be a priority when you’ve got a keeper who won’t command his box.

It’s modern football. I don’t get it. Used to work a treat in the old days

Stick him and Vardy on the half way line, they'd have to keep 3 or 4 back and that would leave more room for son of Pete to watch the ball fly over his head

Vardy is our best defender in our own box when it comes to set pieces

We're gash at defending corners and equally as bad at our own set pieces. We have a keeper who won't come for crosses and defenders who look petrified. Add in the zonal marking (or lack of any marking) and no one on the posts and it's almost a 50/50 chance of scoring.

Up the other end, our very own showboater can't beat the first man so we never score from corners and end up desperately legging it back towards our own goal.

Surely this is one for the analytics team - how many on target goal attempts from corners would have been stopped with a man on the far post? Last night was a classic example. OK, so that leaves you one less to mark up, but when that "one" is Genghis himself, he might just as well be on the post
