Symptomatic of the malaise at the club!

Or

I'm a fuckwit!

Fuck me!!... you know the rest!

Had the same email just now. I didn't attempt to do the download shit as I thought us marginally more mature ST holders still had the option to retain the plastic card form of entry (Oo er Matron!)? Is this no longer an option?! Have I missed some key marketing information from our exceedingly well run club, who always have us fans best interests at heart, or am I doomed to joining the technological revolution? Many thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

I think you had to apply when you renewed?

Hackers is yer man!

I’m officially a ‘senior’ by LCFC guidelines at the end of August so was pleasantly surprised I had the chance of a physical ticket. I was told I had to apply as I was changing from adult to senior. Somewhat surprised they didn’t say the same to those who were already Seniors.
Being a ‘senior’ I can no longer remember how they informed me.
Happy to be of little help.

Fin downloaded his as Paddy said above.
What I'd like to know is:
Is this effectively your 'season ticket' the ticket he has now says 'vs Sheff W', will that then change to 'vs Brun'?
If you pass a ticket on to a friend is that the same as sellback to the club, in that the club sold it and then reimbursed me?

If uou contact the club they are now giving out physical cards to those who are eligible but didn't ask.

Like many things on LCFC’s website it wasn’t very clear when you renewed. You first had to renew your ticket and only then would the process allow you to then request a card. Unfortunately with a lot of procedures designed by people who use computers all the time they develop something that’s straight forward to them ( as they have written it) but not very obvious to the people using it!! Hope you get it sorted with the club🤞

You can transfer it what, 8 times for free, and sell it back to the club 4 times I think.

You only get money back if you sell it to the club. Anything you get on the side from a “friend” is all positive cash flow too.

I’m going to sell a Wendies ticket back to the club and it says I’ll receive 1/19th of the cost of the 2024/25 season ticket.
I’m assuming that won’t be happening as we now play more than 19 home games.
I’ll screenshot it and demand they pay.

In the FAQs link in the email sent with the mobile link it states 5 + 5 but I’m sure they’d said you could now forward to a friend the full 10.

Hi mate,
Yes us mature ST holders DO still have the option to retain our favoured plastic cards but you were required to re- apply at the time of renewal. Also had it confirmed by the ticket office that we are to retain and use last seasons card and existing cards will be ‘reloaded’ for the coming season. Hope this helps. Cheers aka ‘Mayesie’

Thanks for confirming that.

Its very important information. Glad the club didn't bother to tell anyone. My kids are 'plastic eligable' and I was wondering if it would be new or old card.

It's 1/23rd for this season.

Got a letter the same, when I renewed, kept the letter in case of problems!

Perhaps leave yourselves enough time to queue up at the ticket office before kick-off at your first game, because would you trust the club to do that re-charge job successfully first time? I fucking don't!!

Many thanks Rocky/Maysie and everyone else.

I pay for my ST via Direct Debit so it automatically renews each season. If there was any notification that there was a deadline in which to request an Old Git's ST card I didn't see it.

I emailed the Ticket Office earlier saying that for a number of reasons I wanted to retain my card. Not long since received the following reply: "Even though we are now past the season card application deadline, as a goodwill gesture, I can still arrange this for you because you qualify. A new card will be sent to you shortly."

Sorted therefore. I'm overwhelmed with the Club's thoughtfulness and generosity. You can stick your downloaded tickets where the sun never shines. My sympathies go out to all you younger folk who have no choice in the matter.

After reading all the guff I’m coming round to thinking that mobile tickets are the way to go. I can forward them and not have to hang around in the cold waiting to meet someone to hand them over or get them
back a couple of weeks later.
I’ve got the ‘senior’ card but have also downloaded my ticket, I don’t see why it should be anymore difficult to use the digital version than the plastic one.

You’ve downloaded the whole season ticket and then can forward individual games to the club or friends (allegedly only to those in your friends and family list) but I’ve been told there may be a way to forward to anyone.

I’ve just forwarded one for someone else who was unsure about doing it ( it was her grandson’s ticket but is registered to her phone) as like most things regarding LCFC not as straightforward as it appears!
First of all you need to register the person you want to send it to in your friends & family account, you need their email and home address, mobile number and most importantly their date of birth, I presume you are 65+ so the person you are sending it to also needs to be ( even if they are not) you need to put in a dob that makes them 65! We were trying to send an under 22 ticket to an under 18 and it wouldn’t let us until we changed the dob to make them 19!!. Then the ticket goes into your shopping basket and it looks like you are going to sell it and you start to think you have done something wrong By this time I’d started to lose the will to live but eventually after a few clicks it did forward to the person we were trying to send it to. I expect once you have done it a couple of times it seems straightforward but I was just concerned yesterday that we would somehow cock it up and lose the ticket.
