RVN

I saw my LCFC source for the first time in a long while last night, he told me that Rudkin did not have any say about RVN's appointment, it was all down to Top, who is completely starstruck.
I also learnt that The Birch is feeling better these days and was with Susan in Charnwood's best pub the other lunchtime.

If Top is genuinely starstruck (which the evidence suggests may well be the case) then we really are in trouble.
He may well be starstruck but he's also a business man presumably well able to quickly look at a set of figures and reach a conclusion based on them.
In this case it's not a star that he's been struck by but a giant turd in a turtle neck.

If reports are correct keep RVN and if no offers come in for our rubbish players under contract then keep them as well.
Hopefully that would allign us with PFS and stop the EFL punishing us.
I know it's not nice but I cannot see any other way round it.

Whoever made the choice, few protested for the simple reason that, like the exec, RVN was a more or less unknown in managerial
circles so might have been an inspired choice.
I think it was a 'how can he be worse than Cooper' decision.Whatever, It was a punt by the club and has to be corrected asap.
PS, fnq, can't follow your logic. The word is we can only right the ship by profitng from transfer deals..

Well if Top made the call ignoring his DoF, what's the point in having a DoF.

Rudkin should resign on principle, because if Rudkin has strategy and plans about our football identity, and plans for manager recruitment to achieve that identity (and I know it may be a big if) and that's usurped on a whim, why do the job (apart from a huge wedge of money for being a bag carrier).

I’d buy that jm, makes sense of what’s going on , still can’t imagine rvn be here in June but that’s a worry after reading and believing that. Was hoping it would all change in summer , a fresh start but not sure now.

From a financial point of view we sell our few players who will a) want to go, and b) are in demand.
Pretty much the same names.
Selling the family silver, I know but in business get your sums wrong and it costs you..

Nothing beats Peter Taylor as our worst appointment. Took over a very good squad and dismantled it. Whereas RVN took over a poor squad.
And signed a load of rubbish like Akinbyi, Benjamin, Lewis, etc not to mention the dreaded putt "a nasty little five footer".

Screenshot_20250505_172433_X.jpgSo that's the reason we have been Shite, Ere's me thinking it was about the manager, his tactics and inability to motivate and manage the players 🙄

Kristenson? I believe the two you mentioned and Kristenson are the worst offenders. Plus now we are officially relegated, he's thinking of next season with the youngsters being involved.
