RVN Sweepstake

I would have thought he would have made signings a priority in view of our state therefore he would be a fool to take on a risky venture like this basketcase if he wasn't in full possession of the facts

Well we're not going to get a points deduction before the end of January even if we're charged because the hearing won't take place until March. And we may not even get charged.

Re: transfers, it seems like we're very close to Coulibaly from Parma and I expect there will be a couple more.

I agree that it's vital we pick up points from Palace and Fulham, but I don't think the club would sack RVN even if we lost both. As for RVN himself, he seems very relaxed and happy in his press conferences. He doesn't sound like a man about to walk out.

So all in all, I'd say the chances of RVN NOT being our manager at the end of January hover around zero.

Wasn't Enzo like that until he did?

The likeliest scenario for me is:
Was told there was a 'war chest' for jan signings and so took the job.
He, like every manager that comes here, isn't quite prepared for the ineptitude of rudkin, the tall tales of 'available funds' and the fax machine breaking down.
In Feb when 1 over the hill player and a couple of panic buy journeymen are secured he says we have to knuckle down and fight our way out.
By April when it's clear we can't, he resigns so he doesn't have a relegation on his CV.
Some no-name is hired until end of season.
In July we hire a mcneil/hegginbottom/mccann/wilder coach-a-like who says we are a sleeping giant who should be back in the PL. We get a big pts deduction from EFL and spend the season fighting to avoid relegation to L1.
You heard it here first.

ok yes, I want him gone, a bizarre, childish appointment. Anyway, I am now going for Monday 22nd January around lunch time, after we have lost to Fulham. Sean Dyche rightly or wrongly will be manager by the end of the month. Well that's my opinion anyway
