But it's Rudkin that as the 'football' Director who seems to have presided over the Rodgers takeover of too many aspects of the Club, stupid contracts and much more besides.

He’s part of the problem, he’s been useless and been involved with some of our most atrocious signings.
 
If they really wanted to play at the top table they needed a top level a director of football, who would have come in loaded with connections and an independent mind somewhat separate from the coach. We stuck with an amateur and have paid the price.
 
It's no coincidence that the club messed up recruitment in both the summers of 2016 and 2021, when our profile was at its highest.

Rudkin has been operating at a level beyond his capabilities for a long time. Hope this season has finally opened the owners' eyes to that.
 
They all got lazy and thought Rodgers had the keys to success and handed him far too much power. Brendan and the Chocolate Factory.
His incompetence was there for us all to see but what do supporters know??
More than most in truth. We've watched it all unfold too often before. This time it went on far too long.
