Roma v Feyenoord

Breadfan

Round the Bend
So did anyone who bought flight and hotel tickets in advance actually go to Tirana?
And who do we want to win? Is it better to go out to the eventual winners?

One of my mates is a ST holder at Feyernood. He was so hoping we’d meet up together in the final. I wish them the best in the final plus I can’t stand Boreinho and his anti football way of playing. I loved him when he first came on the scene but now he’s a first class supercilious twat

I’m not too bothered who wins but I’m still interested in watching it. I reckon it’s a better match up, and with more quality, than Rangers v Frankfurt

My learned friend Charleyfarley and I are indeed here in the capital of Albania 🇦🇱 We’d pre-booked flights and accommodation and thought fuck it let’s go anyway. You’re a long time dead.

Arrived this evening for a 3 night stay. Staying very centrally in a very nice, cheap gaff (though it looks like Beirut in the immediate vicinity) near the main square. Early impressions are very favourable, it has that continental vibe you can never get back home - the heat always helps. Very friendly natives (not had my wallet nicked yet - unlike Rome) and we had a very tasty and cheap meal al fresco after paying a visit to the very groovy Radio Bar.

A bit of culture tomorrow - a walking tour and the National Museum. Then to a bar to watch the match. Would that we were playing obviously. Lots of Italian and Dutch fans about naturally - no sign of any trouble that we have seen

Off to the Albanian Riviera at Durrës for the day on Thursday and back home on Friday morning. What’s not to like?

Well done you two. Bonkers but brilliant. Hope you’ve time to take in a Norman Wisdom film

Great post Kev and fair play to both of you.
Sounds like both of you are having a great time and hopefully Feyenoord win.

We was on Gatwick flight yesterday till Friday.
Flight had City, Feyenoord on and for some reason Celtic.
Feyenoord fans flew to England and then Tirana.
Staying in Durres.
30 minutes from Tirana.
Quite a few Feyenoord in the hotel.
All good lads.
Wanted us in the final.
They went Portugal for the Nations League and had a good crack with the English.
View from hotel.

Is that Judith Chalmers I see just floating to the beach on a pedalo. If it is that wound count as the largest amphibious landing since WWII.

We are going to Duress tomorrow Lestufox, can’t decide cab or car hire or even bus, any advice.
PS We both have Speados at the ready

Is Judith Chalmers the new (old) Zoe Wanamaker? Any sign of Cliff Michelmore or Frank Bough (and Nesta)?

We are at Durres beach.
Long stretch goes on for miles lined by hotels with their restaurants where you can have a beer.
No bars as such.
It's like going Spain out of season with not many about but the restaurants are still open
Taxi from airport was 4000 Leke.
Not been upto the City and the port area yet but I believe that has more in the way of bars.

Taxi all the way.

When I went I got the overnight ferry from Bari then the train from Durres to Tirana. It took an hour and went at walking speed. all of the carriages were from the 50’s and none had a window that wasn’t smashed.

We planned to take the train North to Schroeder (which was really lovely) but we took a taxi instead to save time.

I’ve no idea if these trains have stopped running now.
