Acclaimed actor aged 90 with dementia. Married to his actress wife Prunella Scales for 61 years.

First difficulties noticed in 2001. Eventually diagnosed with Vascular Dementia in 2014. Left the Canal boat series in 2019.
 
He’s on the television now in the last but one episode of Doctors. Must have been one of his last recordings. Final episode tomorrow BBC 1 at 2pm.
 
Seemed a really nice couple always good to see. She was brilliant as cybil and Timothy played a small part in the brilliant …day of the jackal… original , if anyone’s keen it’s on itv at mo . RIP Tim
