Truly saddened to hear this, rivalries aside he was a great character and came across as a genuinely nice bloke. Always enjoyed Schnoz on the Central Match Live in the early 90's with Jimmy Greaves. Renewing the banter now we hope... Rest in Peace John.
 
Top bloke. Loved how he embraced that Cup Final day in 87. He was determined to enjoy every minute of that day, and his joy at the end alongside George Curtis was right up there with my favourite cup final memories.
