Why do people bypass these and want to buy from breeders , I never get it but maybe someone can explain , not and never in for row btw , I do get why they would not want any of the homeless dogs up for rescuing on a visit but I’ll be patient and keep looking ….but breeders , just the name makes me worry.

Absolutely correct

Have had three dogs and the only 'pedigree' one had to have both eyes removed - clearly an inbreeding issue

Our current dog is a 'rescue' and a lovely lovely dog

Good on yer , I get why folk bypass a dog that doesn’t suit their needs ie size or other things and I know it’s each to own but ours has been a mischievous nightmare early days but the satisfaction when it all comes together is really rewarding , he’s been a gem ….16 soon .👨‍🦳🐶

We got 2 rescue dogs last year from a Polish family in Kent. One came from Lithuania and the other from Mauritius, both via Poland. They have a bit of money so the wife rescues the dogs with her sister, brings them over to Poland, gets them vaccinated and gets Doggy Passports for them before bringing them over to the UK for re-homing.

It was a difficult transition for both of them as they had been mistreated before, but patience, love and understanding helped. We wouldn't be without them. They are both crossbreeds but they are beauties with hearts of gold. Dogs truly are a mans best friend and crossbreeds don't tend to have the same health conditions as pedigrees.

They steal your heart, alright.
