Remember when this board hit The Roof when we didn't do better than fifth place in the Prem?

Queuing up to slag the players, each post trying to be more outraged, jostling to win the title of Most Damning and Unforgiving Fan. Squalling and spitting out dummies, outraged that the "bottling bastards" fucked it up big time. Well you've now got what you deserve, big time.

Nobody should regret or apologise for wanting better from our club. Ever.
Wish I could like this 1000 times.

Ambition is not a crime.

People who are happy to settle for mediocrity are far more to blame for where we are at. They are the twats clapping players off after putting in shocking performances. They are the ones fawning over billionaire statues. They are the ones being aggressive to people who are battling for positive change. They are the cancer to progression. Fuck em.

I moan like there is no tomorrow but l moan because l do not want stagnation those few years made you feel on top of the world and there was expectation to deliver but also to improve sadly other people could not grasp the nettle, it didnt need squillions thrown at it either that was the irony of it all

Context is inportant.

If we'd been 8th, and finished 5th, they'd have been no moaning.
But we were a very strong second, and finished 5th. Al after signing some farmer on loan from wolves as the only reinforcement to get us over the line.
Was that the same window when Manure took a punt on the rat?

We had a right moan as we should have finished 4th that first season. Over these two seasons we were the team who was in the top four the most, longer than Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool etc.

So we had a right to moan.

Had knob head got us over the line that first time maybe we wouldn’t be in the shit we are in now. Something else that I’ll never forgive him for.

We should really compile a list although it’d make for grim reading.

If you think about it ambition got us into this position. We gambled and failed. It could've paid off and then we wouldn't be where we are now.

Dagenham we would've got top four if the board brought just a couple of players to help the team out. Nothing to do with BR that, we just ran out of steam and players.

Imagine if we had brought in 3/4 decent players (remembering who Brenda brought in later) and still finished 5th we could of all been moaning about why make changes when it's going so well and if it's not broken don't fix it, we're all experts in hindsight

‘NO’ I don’t remember that at all

I do remember it dawning on fans that our fantastic talented squad had been scandalously mismanaged by Brendan Rodgers, who single handedly damaged their confidence and careers, and began the demise of Leicester City Football Club

Just not the case.

A simple 3 points against an abysmal Bournemouth side would have sufficed but for an incredulous lack of management and discipline allowed under that idiot Rodgers.
Wouldn’t have happened under any other decent manager.
‘ran out of steam’ is absolutely not the case

We should have won the premiership 2 weeks earlier and if chillwell had been marked closer in cup final it would have saved my blood pressure going through the roof again whilst waiting for var 😂😂😂😂😂😂 bloody team ….🙈 Bloody football 🤭

I am not sure it’s right to say that people who were frustrated that we didn’t convert the opportunity to finish in the champions league places when in prime position to do so twice in a row and blew it, now have got what they deserve. It’s not the fans fault in the slightest, we are where we are now because of rank bad and reckless decision making by the people at the top.

My frustrations with where we are now is not because I think we should be challenging for Champions League football or that we shouldn’t be mid table in the championship, it’s the journey we have taken over the last 4/5 years to get where we are now.

The two are not mutually exclusive, we had our success with a very good model, however our decline is not because of FFP/PSR. My anger, frustration and disappointment stems from the piss poor decision making by the powers that be and then align that with reckless spending on transfer fees and wages, not to be confused with ambition, but on absolute bang average players such as Perez, Bertrand, Vestergaard, Daka, Soumare, Winks, Coady, Skipp, Ayew, BDCR, Edouard, VK ….. I could go on.

The refusal to accept any accountability and responsibility for this decision making, Top and Rudkins insistence on not sacking Rodgers when he had clearly checked out, aside from Maresca, our woeful recruitment of managers. Our refusal to shake up our football operations and bring in an experienced operator to rip it all up and start again.

My anger is not because we are mid table in the championship nor because we are no longer challenging for champions league positions and winning the FA Cup. It’s because we have zero plan, zero strategy and we have managed to destroy our club from a position of strength by making shockingly bad decisions along the way that were completely avoidable which has left us with a squad full of overpaid average players who carry little in saleable transfer assets bar Abdul and some promising academy products and a manager who we recruited from the bargain bin, whilst we await the results of a potential points deduction for PSR breaches that could put us in danger of relegation to league 1 and the brink of financial meltdown.

My anger is because I no longer recognise what our club stands for, we are not innovative, we are not a disrupter, we are no longer a family club, we are no longer united as a fanbase. We are no longer fearless or Foxes never quit, in fact we don’t even feel like Leicester City Football Club anymore, our history beyond KP is pretty much forgotten about and ignored by the club, the club has now become a vehicle for KP, Aiyawatt and Thailand, who happen to play in blue and in Leicester, but it not the club I recognise anymore, even from 5/6 years ago.

The worst part of it all, is that I feel I have lost my voice as well as my club, if anyone dares to raise these issues, you are often labelled as entitled, there is even cases where dissent in the stands is met with verbal or physical abuse. It is like being in a abusive relationship with a narcissist, continually being gaslighted that what has happened and what is continuing to happen isn’t reality and that we should be eternally grateful for KP and Aiyawatt as we really don’t deserve what they do for us.

Hopefully that explains where I am and perhaps others, I genuinely fear administration and what that could bring, I never asked or wanted the custodians of my football club to gamble with the very existence of the club to try and gain champions league football. This was not a calculated risk, as you can have a contingency to remedy the situation if not successful, this was absolutely irresponsible and reckless without a coherent plan, strategy or mitigation in the event it went wrong.

Running Fix you can't put Perez in that group. He was important player in the team that finished 5th twice, very important player and gave Ricardo the room to go up and down the flank.

A very good post. Deserves better than to be lingering on this thread, where the attention seeking OP resorts to falsification to punctuate his lengthy time in front of the fire during this ‘cold snap’

Perez wasn't even a 'very important player' in his own household's 5-a-side team

I take your point however IiRC he was on circa £80k per week for a player who was largely average throughout his time with us at best. We were massively overpaying him IMO he was no more than a £40-50k per week player.
