At a meeting today, the chairmen of all the Premier League clubs refused to agree a new deal for increased funding of EFL clubs until all these financial restrictions on P&S are relaxed. Interesting.n
do we have namesSounds like they're challenging the new regulator to impose something......
What does even mean, expand your comment so it makes sense please.Football is slowly but surely beginning to eat itself.

It did, thank youI have no idea where the expression originated but the idea is from someone being so infested with a sense of self-importance that, if they were made of chocolate, they’d eat themselves. So, substitute 'someone' for the football authorities and their love affair with the big clubs and wrap that up with their joint self importance and there you have it. Hope this helps.

Yeah, but this is being prompted by the football leagueSo..... the big six have wanted a closed shop for years it was muted before the Prem came into being
Only because they feel forced to be as they are dependent on the PL for whatever crumbs they allow but there can surely be no way that the Prem and the EFL would be aligned on doing away with parachute payments. For over half of the PL it would be way too dangerous. I get that the payments are skewing the competition in the Championship but unless and until the gap in financing closes significantly between the divisions (and that ain't going to happen whatever they decide with their current negotiations) any attempt by the EFL to force it through I would think is far more likely to lead to the closed shop that the EFL would be desperate to avoid. The FL is only a nodding dog to the Prem anyway

That's precisely the point, but all of them at the EFL seem to be banging that drum for the past couple of years. And presumably why they're still waiting for an offer from the PL clubs, who want to keep the PPs.
