Positives
1). We could have won when we should have lost.
2). The players who came in I thought played pretty well. First outings for Daka, Nacho and Soumare with Evans coming back was never going to be easy. I like the look of Lookman and HB looked much better tonight.
3) They are a very experienced European club with a very savvy manager. They’ll easily get top 4 in Seria A. When you look at some of the other pot 1 teams we’ve been a bit unlucky getting them. Probably the best EL team in the competition.
4). Perez scored. Who says miracles don’t happen.
Negatives
1). We got done for pace by Osimhem. He’s a beast. But our defence simply wasn’t good enough. You can tell a number of them aren’t anywhere 100% at the moment and that showed again tonight.
2). Lose a 2-0 lead at home with 23 mins to go. Not good at all. But we were tired as we’d chased the ball all match.
3). We allowed them far too much space in midfield. Allowed them to dominate moving the ball quickly forward.
All in all a fair result. I’m a bit unsure how I feel as I know we could have been hammered tonight but a draw was a fair result. What I will say was it was a bloody entertaining match. Really enjoyed it
