Please be on your guard tomorrow.

I got bricked by the Neapolitans the last time I was over there. Same happened to me with the Cornish. Had Askeys wafer crumbs all down my front.

We were sat outside the Blue Boar, about 20 went past on other side of the road, no colours on, didn't cause any problems to us, must have been them at DMU

There had just been an altercation as we wandered down Raw Dykes Road last night, with the OB looking jumpy and a small group of what looked like Italians loosley kettled.

They don't mind using their belts do they? First at the DMU campus and then in the ground after the game.

Don't their trousers fall down?

Sounds like a rum place. Reading an Arsenal fans experience bizarrrely on a Swansea forum shortly before Swansea went there:

Hi All

Been asked to post by HitchinJack , I am the Arsenal fan who went to Napoli with Arsenal last week . I have been abroad with Arsenal every year since 1992 ( sorry not rubbing it in honestly ) and so have been to many dodgy places Turkey ,Belgrade , Russia etc .

Napoli is on a different level and whilst many Napoli fans are welcoming as I have seen on here , MANY are not !!!! They also do not play by the rules and anybody is fair game ...ANYBODY !

If you go and keep a very low profile the night before the game which means stay in the hotel , or drink in restaurants or hidden away places in small numbers you should be ok ... The night before the game with us Napoli had lads out looking for Arsenal

If you go on the organised transport which is laid on by Napoli police you will be absolutely fine ,,,,just be prepared for hours of waiting and the most crazy escort ever ... we had 7 coaches and potentially 20 police vans , 30 cars full of police and a helicopter directly overhead there and back .

We only reached the ground late and the word was that was because if we arrived early the coaches would be bricked

The area around the station and Piazza Garibaldi where the cheaper hotels are is a nightmare .....I laughed about this when people told me ...but when we went it was !!!

Do NOT go to the game on the Metro and nor by cab ...the away end is by CURVA A which is their Ultras end , the taxis will NOT go there as no Napoli fans travel in taxis ,,,so when they see a taxi , its the away fans and they attack it . So the taxis take you to the end of this dual carriageway where the Napoli lot wait and attack you . I personally know 2 taxis full of Arsenal attacked , one lot before they got out of the cab , the other lot bottled within seconds of getting out !

Sometimes you think a group of 50 together is safety in numbers , in Napoli its not

They will come to you as they did to the Emirates where 100 smashed up a Pie Shop and Deli full of families , pushing 3 teenage girls off chairs so they could attack fathers aged 50 ...this is what they are like ...( by the way our lads pub was nearby and they knew it but decided the family pie shop was more fun )

Daytime wandering around is ok as long as keep to main areas and keep an eye on people , we went to VESUVIUS and wandered around the city the day after the game no probs !

The atmosphere in the ground is awesome !!!

We went via Rome and got the train and overall had a great time and would go again for sure

If you take 1500 or so I think what I have said above will be the case for you lot ,

ENJOY !!!!

Dare 'em to come in the Boar.
The cheese and onion cobs in here are lethal.
None of your soft Cacioforte shit.
We're tooled up wi' slabs of hard cheddar! And the onion'll sting their eyetie eyes.
You're not wrong there CF. They're not for the faint-hearted but are great washed down with a pint or two of 'Rocky'. Our paths must have crossed in the BB at some point.

Continuing with the cheese & onion cob theme.
The Ale Stone is in the same ownership, & their cobs are immense

Thanks for taking the time to post this. Hope everyone takes note, it’s not a place to go mouthing off, and as mentioned, on another level to other European cities where we’ve thought nothing of gathering at bars and having a sing song

I’ve heard before about their lads riding around on scooters with a lad on the back whacking away fans with a belt.

They also look for away fans around the waterfront as they know that’s where they’ll congregate. Similar to Marseille I guess.

l went there 1990 for the Cameroon game, its still the best away game that ive every been too. It was as mad as fuck, but being young didn't give a fuck really. l think back then with England we felt a bit invincible, maybe that vibe saved us. The attacked us everywhere, but they really were shit bags who had to be 5-1 or tooled up. They wanted to kill you from a distance like all Ities, or have to have everything in their favour. They'd pick you off when they can but saying all that it was mega, we stayed in Sorrento and they were doing the same there.

What followed was a long train journey to Turin and it was all over the news that they intended to kill some England fans because it was just after Heysel, some didn't go because of this, and to be fair we all was a bit dodgy about it but it made us tight. They threw petrol bombs at us picked of small groups but never came close if it was fair numbers. I saw the OB with guns literally shaking as we came out after losing to the square heads. We went into bars for a booze on the way back, but they knew they couldn't attack us because of the cunts they are and we had the hump because we'd lost.

So really its dangerous place, l know the Leicester Liverpool fans who thought they were safe being 10 or 12 handed a couple of years ago even though they were warned, two ended up in hospital and the rest got a bit of a kicking from seriously tooled up cunts.

edited to say in reply to Daggers, it was more dangerous than Marseille - that's saying something😀

I’m concerned that because of the trouble inside the ground and in the city, albeit minor, that they’ll take some sort of revenge in the return leg. They really are on a different scale whether it be their ultras or just the Neapolitans themselves. Their whole mentality is like a death wish. They really don’t give a flying fuck about anything.
I remember meeting an Italian guy at work a few years ago. A big Roma fan he went with 10000 Romans to Napoli for the penultimate game in which if they won they’d win only their 3rd scudetto. Napoli too had to win to try and avoid relegation.
Anyone who has been to the stadium will know it’s a right mess. It’s literally falling to pieces in parts. After going through the outside security perimeter he ran the 50 mts to the turnstiles. He said it was literally raining bricks and masonry being thrown by the Napoli ultras inside the ground. As he got to the turnstile suddenly a whole ceramic toilet came over the top and missed him by inches. Finally getting into the relative safety inside he notices a human finger on the floor. He said the whole experience was like WW3, that although Roma weren’t exactly pussies the Napoli lot are on another planet.
Sadly we were spoilt in 2016/7 with all five away cities and fans we went to extremely welcoming. I was with the away fans in 3 of those stadia and there wasn’t a problem whatsoever.

It would be the same if there weren't any Napoli fans in Leicester, its just how it is. Seville and Brugge have history of bullying away fans, but remember how many of us were there. The Seville lot came and had a look and thought better of it. Its numbers with all of them but teams like Napoli and Roma do have big support.. Its just a "be careful" one really.

I've been to Sorrento a couple of times in the summer and a waiter told me the Sorrento Napoli fan club has 20,000 members in Sorrento alone, told me never to wear a football shirt .....
