PL duds over £30m.

Well my first as I think he just qualified was Slim. Probably pound for pound up with our worst ever buy

However others for me are definitely Joelinton at Newcastle. Despite scoring just 15 times in 60+ games on loan for Rapid Vienna he somehow transferred to Newcastle for £40m on a 6 yes six year contract. He’s absolutely cack. As their main striker he’s scored 6 times in 77 games!!

My second nomination in the over £30m range is Owobi at £34m to Everton. Unbelievable. Has scored twice in 62 goals for them in over two years. Completely bang average.

Anyone else who should be included?

Slimani really he was brought to help us make progress in the champions league of which he did. So I don't class him as a dud and you really comparing him to joelinton who in my mind is one of the worst strikers ever. Also I'm afraid 30 million doesn't get you much these days.

I don't think that Pepe has exactly set the world alight on the back of his £70 million transfer to Woolwich.
However, a quick Wiki reveals that he once scored against Wolves ,& it was voted goal of the month for February on the Arsenal OS.

So, maybe they're right & I'm wrong

I don't know how much Chelsea paid for Schevchenko ( where's auto correct when you need it)
He wasn't an overnight success, though using Wiki again reveals that he once hit the bar in the Milk Cup final.

Slims strength was peeling off to the far post for the cross that never came!!

Fernando Torres. £50m from Liverpool to Chelsea. 110 games, 20 goals. Couldn't miss whilst he was with the Scallies though.

He scored twice in a League Cup match against us at Stamford Bridge when Burrows & Taggart were interim managers.

Remember speaking to a Chelsea fan afterwards who reckoned this was the start of a goal-scoring spree.

It wasn’t.

Speaking of Chelsea, I nominate Fernando Torres & Timo Werner.
