This is testimony to the fact that in mid to late 1970's there seemed like DeMont had great bands on tour, performing in Leicester every week

Thin Lizzy, Rainbow, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Elvis Costello, The Police, Joe Jackson, Rory Gallagher, Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Dr. Feelgood, and the list goes on.

Was only a tenner or so for a ticket, so weekly event even for a poor Melton lad like me.....

My 17-year old son listens to pod-casts and mixes music in his mate's basement.... at same age, I was watching legends, playing live in front of 2 -3,000 fans at DeMont, standing packed in front of the stage downstairs, seats only upstairs. Thank you God....you couldn't buy those memories for a million quid!
