Not suprised.

Sorry it is not Brendan's fault blame the players .....for not controlling the ball for misplacing passes for kicking anywhere in blind panic ....if we had control we would have not drawn we would have won regardless of managerial changes. It's just giving control of a match to the opposition because we lose concentration we lose basic awareness and ability to stop attacks

Lookman didn't look shattered neither did barnes...two wide attacking outlets.
As soon as they went off we were under more pressure.

It's done, Rodgers and half the team want out... Treasure our title winning season as we will never ever come close. The big boys upped there game after we shat on their lawn, VAR was brought in to ensure this will never happen again... The game we all knew and loved is completely fucked.

Even without those two we were in control but with shades of Tuesday night
We ceded everything and came under pressure and had no answers you knew from the start of the second half what was on the cards and we couldn't handle the pressure

Talking of VAR LiVARpool had another disgraceful decision go their way today.

They would have probably won anyway but it killed any chance of a Palace equaliser right there.

Awful display really. Lack of movement for the player on the ball to pass out to. Yet we stood off them when they were playing out from the back instead of putting them under pressure. Only one positive performance for me today was KDH thought he was our MOTM by a street

TWO disgraceful decisions. The penalty, and their second was offside.

yeah KDH was excellent but I thought JJ was mom. And deserves extra credit for criticising Bodgers decision to change tactics.

l was told yesterday that before the Man U gone they had a players meeting then went to Rodgers to tell him they didn't want to defend corners anymore like they were, and didn't want to play out from the back. Things improved, but we're back to playing out from the back again.
What l find most important is that it appears that the players know that Rodgers is inept. As he lost them, I'd say probably. You don't put up with the demoralisation and not question why. Most of the fans can see what's going wrong and I'm sure the players have an even better idea.

For Rodgers to be making excuses about lack of money etc leads me to believe that he as been spoken to about our situation. I would say hes not long for the job and many more collapses or embarrassing losses will see him get what he deserves no matter how much certain fans are frightened of change, the same way we hear every time a manager is doing a shit job, "give him time" "hes the best manager we've ever had". "its the injuries" "we need stability" (the most stupid one actually). They are all excuses, and the same thing happens each time, he gets moved out. Bet your life on this, Rodgers is a dead man walking, if you believe otherwise or can't accept it then youre living in the land of make believe.

There’s no doubt that his stubbornness to not change the zonal marking for months has cost us a lot of points and definitely EL qualification rather than the conference we’re now in. Bizarre coincidence that we changed it for the Liverpool match and somehow got a clean sheet against a side who’d scored in their last 34 games must infuriate the players as much as us. We mere amateurs knew it was wrong but he didn’t?
I don’t think he’s bothered about us now. He believes he’s ‘better’ than Leicester. He’s got nearly 3 years of his contract left. Going to make multi millions out of his failure to adapt. Great!

Tell me another manager we've had who's better. Two top five finishes, f a cup, community shield, successive seasons in Europe.
Personally for me O'Neill was better....actually took the side out of the championship into the premiership....kept us there and took us to 3 cup finals....built a team on a shoestring compared to what recent managers have been lucky to spend.
Would play to the strengths of the team, need a goal ok I'll shove a centre half up there to cause chaos...Rodgers has finished top 5 twice I agree , but from a higher position....yes the fa cup win is fantastic but I don't really count the community shield as a major trophy.

O'Neill also made the very most of set piece opportunities. He realised that these were key, used Guppy brilliantly and played to our strengths in all areas. We were often decimated by injuries during his tenure but he usually found a way. Passionate on the touchline too.
Maybe because he played at a high level he understood players better.

I'll give you that one but football has moved on significantly from the O'Neill years

you can attribute success to anyone if you are prepared to stretch the truth to match your opinions.

With Rodgers, he as the best squad this club as ever had. Hes had the most money our club as ever had, hes got the best facilities that we've ever had. He as made a balls up of it all and continues to do so.

Winners win, blaggers blag but always get found out, Rodgers as reached the point of him being found out, and the only way is out. Just a matter of time, mark my words.

Tell me how he's ballsed it up we are midtable with the worst injury crisis we've ever had. We finish midtable this season and quarters or semis of the two cups this season what with our injury crisis and covid aswell that is a very good season not many managers could cope with what injuries we've had. I don't think you can really judge Rodgers this season. Next season though when hopefully we have a fully fit squad then that's the one we can really judge him on.

Key moments for me yesterday was at the hour mark when we became under severe pressure they were attacking at will and nothing happened to change the situation, NOW knowing how we capitulated to Spurs.... we all knew what was coming why didn't he change the formation to at least give the backs a chance, at least try to attack and give some respite to the defence

Can some one explain how Brendon is a Top manager?

Did ok at Watford
Did ok at Swansea
Balls it up at Liverpool
Brilliant at Celtic, against who?

Hes a manager that's not adapted to modern football.
He did the same in the Cup final, go a goal up, he makes defensive substitutions, if Chillies goal stood we were fuc..d, limited attacking options on the pitch. No injuries then to blame.

Managers and coaches are like players (which they all were), they evolve their thinking as they accumulate experience and study others and circumstances and challenges present themselves.
How do I know? It was my life experience over forty years in my work life.
Nobody comes in a box wrapped and unchangeable.
BR's development into a top coach is there to see, and why he is on the short list of every top job that becomes available.
We are so lucky to have such a man.
You judge a man on the here and now, not on his developing years.

I don't think, well I'll guarantee you there's not one top or decent club that would want him.
