Norwich away 1981

vastly outnumbered by locals on Friday night, different story Saturday night. Those were the days eh.

Went there on a football special played in early May but had been heavy snow that week
That is when we didn’t need Clappers , Honesty Flags , Tifos or singing sections
What was a great era , magnificent support away from home
With Jock Wallace in charge used to get a large number of Rangers supporters from Corby following
the team
Not unusual to take fifty plus buses to some away games 😁

I think at that time Radio Leicester used to do their preview programme at 9.30 on the Saturday morning.
Jock's interview's were inspirational & so positive & made it that you could not wait to get to the game whether we were good or bad.
Compare that to listening to Rodgers

“large numbers of Rangers supporters from Corby following the team”
In them days, the large numbers were virtually “all” Leicester supporters.
I might add, that some of the Corby lot also had an affinity with Celtic.
I think you should have done some research before making that assumption.
