@Upson Downes so as the team do their end of season lap of honour if we’ve missed out again on 4th place and the cup you expect us to just applaud them around the pitch?

Actually given we’ve not seen them play all season yes I think we probably will.
 
Come on lads, we are huge underdogs for sure but so would virtually any other side be against them. We need to play to our strengths and not be overly concerned by what they may or may not do to us. Who gave Sunderland in '73 or Southampton three years later a cat in hells chance? We have all seen this season what our team is capable of.
As far as the bigger picture is concerned, yes it will be a huge disappointment if we fail to make the top 4 for a second successive season but hey, I will swap our 'now' for what not so long back was 'our place' in the scheme of things any time. Even if we were to lose 10-0 at the weekend rather that and be Leicester City than be like Chelsea or any of the other greedy bastards.
Take a piece of paper and write down our record for the last 5 years...
Come on Leicester

It doesn't unless the winner of the Champions League finishes outside the top 4. On the Premier League website...

"If a club win the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League and finish in the top four, their qualification for the UCL through their league position is not transferred to another team. "
 
Don't be sorry because it's true...Top six, still the top six clubs as we all know them to be. League positions will never really apply to that. People can dream all they like. After all it's only cl money we have lost. Sell a good player and it's all good again.

Of course we would applaud because how disappointing it would've been it still would've been a good season. It happens in football we win some lose some.

Anyway after today we’re looking far more likely to achieve our aim of Champions League football next season so it’s now a moot point. 😁👍
 
I was just bricking it and fearful of abject failure after the shit show we served up on Friday, after a couple of other feeble performances.

Last night was better but far from perfect against a weakened side. We need to step up again for Saturday if we are to give them a heroes welcome on 23rd.
