Newquay Leicester shirts

Red Lion and The Fort.
Not really had the time to hit a pub for drinks as we’ve been too busy doing the tourist stuff, surfing (I swerved it this year, too old for that), kayaks, jet skis and gardens.
Best shirt had the name Duck on the back. Made I laugh.
May be back next year, which are the best pubs?
You hit the ground running with the Red Lion, best pub in Newquay by a country mile, great selection of ales as well (all £2.50 on Mondays) The Fort used to be a good pub but just another food hall like the Central, my village Quintrell Downs (3 miles out) has 2 good pubs the Two Clomes & Quintrell Inn. Newquay is a shadow of its former self but a swim in the Ocean (went in last night after work on Porth beach) soon gets you in the holiday mood…

Better food at The Fort than The Red Lion IMO and a great view from outside.
Thought Newquay had improved following the clampdown on hen and stag parties (so a local was claiming on the fishing documentary on tv last year).
Love walking along the cliffs with my lad and the dog last year. This year we stayed at Zinc on Headland, took the mutt to watch the boys surfing on Fistral and he wore his paws out.

I was flying the flag up in Bridlington last week. A couple of Leeds fans stopped for a natter, nice lads and very complementary about our club, our owners and general aura emanating from our part of the world. To quote one "You're no flash in t'pan"

Long way to go to home games but there’s loads in North Norfolk mate whenever I go
Used to know a few of the Norfolk Blues in the 90's, flag on the Kop fencing most games. Good lads, one of whom passed away not so long back... still sit with one of them now ST holder travels from Lynn every game.

If you like pizza and beer or cider then Fistral Stable is good.
Rick Steins on Fistral do takeaways. Wasn’t that impressed and the consensus was better chips at The Fort. Perhaps it’s better if you eat in. Don’t do bookings, just walk ups.
Gilmore’s crazy golf does Mexican, limited menu but good.
Service is slow everywhere as they’re all short staffed.

Fancy moving that way in time it’s a possibility anyway so might have to join up!

The youngest will be wearing his shirt with pride down there in early august. Stay on the pentire side most of the time when down there.
Used to love the boathouse for food down on the harbour beach but covid has taken that apparently.

Must have seen a dozen or so people in Leicester tops over the last week.
Either Fekit has a large extended family or we’re getting very popular.
Yep, just got back from a week in St Ives and dropped into Newquay also, loads and loads of Leicester shirts, far more than any other Club, would never see this in years gone by, we becoming like Man U 🙄 There’s a nice lunch takeout place called the Pavilion nr the car park run by a Leicester lad.

There’s been a lot in st ives over years

Leicester shirts in the shitty little town I live in. Elland, between Halifax and Huddersfield (definitely not a holiday destination)
There used to be just my family, but then discovered a local bloke who adopted us as his team over 20 years ago.
Now seeing quite a few young lads, probably about 8-12 years old, wearing our shirts.
Maybe we are the youngsters new Man United. Just means more money for the club and, hopefully, future long term fans 👍

That’s good we need to sell our shirts on a more national level, I’m sure we’d attract a few kids to our club nowadays

Pass on my regards next time you see him.
