It's quite simple, even for someone with your grasp of reality. Take down the flags until after Christmas, then put them straight back up again.
Well aware of that. More a fan of doing stuff around the neighbourhood & community that has a tangible effect on the lives of people, but yeah, flags. It's quite simple, even for someone with your grasp of reality. Take down the flags until after Christmas, then put them straight back up again.
Nope. Like I’ve said before, no problem with flags as long as they’re not accompanied with a grunt of racism, any form of superiority being expressed or people being told it’s not their flag because of the skin colour / place of birth / the religion they follow / their lifestyle choices, or any other stupid reason. No harm in people taking pride in being British - or is there?
There is a conversation to be had with people who think that - on a personal note, where I grew up, there were a number of houses with flags who we knew were National Front supporters, so perhaps there is some association for those people in that sense - this differs from when they are seen at sporting event or national events. So how do you feel about people be "offended" by our national flags?
Sure Mistryman would never do that he's always sensible and balanced with his views.Well you have obviously had some bad experiences in the past.
We must be careful not to confuse economic migrants with asylum seekers and illegal immigrants of course
While I appreciate the nuance of what you’re saying, those saying they are raising flags in the name of genuine unity & togetherness & includes people of all colours, backgrounds, religious beliefs, have to think about whether they want to be associated with someone else that interprets the flag rising as an excuse to demonise / abuse / discriminate anyone who isn’t white, whether asylum seeker, immigrant or migrant of any other description.Well you have obviously had some bad experiences in the past.

Agreed with your first point. There will always be people who are on the extremes of society they are usually the ones who shout the loudest and make nuisances of themselves. I believe that the recent flag flying is more to do with the "average white man" feeling ignored and in fact feeling a little suppressed.
Well I can't speak for anyone but myself but the mere fact that you refer to them (the people in small boats) as asylum seekers rather than illegal immigrants says that you and I look at these things differently. I believe these people are forcing their way into our country, therefore they are unwelcome and are likely to be a burden to the "average white man" picking up the tab. However I still fail to see how asylum seekers become the focal (& to some people, only) excuse to pin the ills of the “average white man” on
Very much so, in fact not even born in this country. For me everyone is welcome as long as they are prepared to contribute to society and not be a pain in the arse. The thing that irritates me most is being told the way we do it here is wrong. I don't believe in FIFO but being adaptable helps a lot.I’m assuming you’re approving of the flags in a sense of national unity or togetherness, regardless of colour, backgrounds, religious beliefs? So for instance, someone like me born & bred in the UK but of Asian heritage would be included?
I'm not sure I'd want to have that conversation because it would probably end up as a slanging matchAnd if so, what would you say to someone whose thinking was much more extreme & places the ills you mention on anyone that isn’t white
I can counter that - holidaying in a hot country & it’s Factor 50 for me.Mistry, just to make you smile. I was eating in our local Indian restaurant (I'm in there at least 3 times a month) and the guy who owns was complaining about the weather being hot. I said to him, aren't you supposed to be used to this? His reply was "I come from Tamworth"
Unfortunately, there are increasingly more people emboldened not to make that distinction.Very much so, in fact not even born in this country. For me everyone is welcome as long as they are prepared to contribute to society and not be a pain in the arse.
Those flags they frighten you, don't they ? tangible evidence that the sleeping majority of this country has woken up to what is going on. No going back now, no more gaslighting, no more suffering in silence. There is a storm coming.Well aware of that. More a fan of doing stuff around the neighbourhood & community that has a tangible effect on the lives of people, but yeah, flags.
I think there have always been people around with those types of views, it also seems that there are people from different cultures who feel emboldened to behave immorally and illegally.Unfortunately, there are increasingly more people emboldened not to make that distinction.
The same people it seems are more likely to turn a blind eye to a crime committed by a white person, & consider the same by a non-white person to be many, many times worse.
PITAs amazingly, come in all shapes, sizes & colours.
Not frightened at all. I love it when they’re used in an inclusive, unified way. Those flags they frighten you, don't they ? tangible evidence that the sleeping majority of this country has woken up to what is going on. No going back now, no more gaslighting, no more suffering in silence. There is a storm coming.
So vote for Ben thenA few weeks ago I posted how sadly I believe Reform are controlled opposition and pointed to the fact that Richard Tice and Dr David Bull backed vaccine passports which a reform supporter can't remember who denied ever happening I was unable to find evidence. However pleased to say David Kurten has posted the video of them backing vaccine passports on his Twitter page for those who doubt it happened.Just scroll down to November 16th .Sorry can't post a link on my phone.
