The biggest percentage rise in immigration came in Blair's government.
In 1997 net migration was 48000.
When Blair stepped down in 2007 net migration had rocketed to 237000, nigh on a 600% rise !!!
Blairs government gave full access to new member EU states such as Latvia Lithuania and Estonia.
As well as them the Polish, Romanians and others took full advantage of the EU's open door policy.
The problem with that was it was a one way ticket. They all wanted to come here and hardly anyone wanted to go to those countries.
