Just saying like.

FC Halifax Town ("the mighty Shaymen") are my second team. I can leave home at 1430 and be in the ground before kickoff. Most games at 1500, no VAR.
They reached the national league playoffs in 7th place and were due to play Altrincham (4th) away in a one game shootout this Wednesday. Looking forward to going, Alty an hours drive, Shay have a good record against them, beat them there in the FA Trophy semi final last year. Just waiting to find out the ticketing.

On Sunday (yesterday) the National League said scrap aĺl that. They had "discovered" that Gateshead (6th) would not be allowed into the Fourth Division because they did not have the right to play at their ground for the next 10 years. They have only played there for the last 50 years. Halifax do have security but the pitch is totally shite; we had to play our final home games at Accrington and Chesterfield (don't ask)

National League have decided that Altrincham will not have to play us after all. We will now have to play Solihull on Wednesday instead. Solihull is on the other side of Birmingham, even with a 1900 hrs kickoff (why?) there is no way fans could get back using public transport.

All this is interesting but my immediate concern is that the Smoggies thump Dirty Leeds tonight and make tomorrow a bit less stressful.

CAMRA pub of the year...5 mins walk to the Shay...close to the train station....what's not to like.

Thanks CF.
