Mo Salah

A bit like a certain no 9 we have
Oh do us a favour Daz. We’re all describing ‘diving’. Vardy doesn’t dive. He’s clever like Owen used to be. If the defender gets the wrong side of him then he’s an idiot to try and tackle him. That’s what happens with Vardy. Salah loves it when anyone brushes their hand on him. Goes down like he’s been shot. Mané is much cleverer IMO but again goes down easily. The one good thing now is that with VAR it should show them for what they are but as we found out last season at Anfield it doesn’t always work.

Mané rewrote the laws of physics for that penalty as he rose upwards like the monolith at the end of '2001 - A Space Odessy'. He had tried his level best to place his feet where he anticipated the tackle to come from, but in the event received the merest feather of contact on his heel as Albrighton pulled out.

I think the good folk at Stockley Pk were plotting his course to Mars and forgot they had an adjudication to make, then panicked and upheld the given decision. As the ref pointed to the spot I went down to buy a burger. I was halfway through it before Mane made his return through the biosphere, watching in awe as his shorts rippled and flared; took on a parachute effect and conferred a perfect landing, nose down facing The Kop. Oh no! Facing The Kop? Surely the VAR inspectors would rumble that he'd simulated the move as it was impossible for a gentle tap so low down on the achilles to propel him forwards. He should have ended up on his back. But no need to worry. All's good. Penalty given.

Can't wait for next Sunday. I think we'll win, and win well, halting their record as in days of yore. (The bookies have got a panic on. We've shortened to 3s from 5s. - Got 5.4 off Marathonbet earlier this week. :))

BLUE ARMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's family ffs, his brother just got married.
I'm even more relieved than normal that I don't know you or have to be anywhere near you, daz – if that's your attitude towards responsible social distancing, mixing with different households, and how to wear a mask.

Oh that’s ok then is it in the middle of the biggest WORLD pandemic since 1918-20. Really? Seriously? I’ve had two friends weddings cancelled this year. They’ve not complained. They both understand the severity of the situation. Yet an international footballing superstar decides to ‘mingle’ with what looks like 100’s of others with his mask under his chin not caring a jot. No bloody wonder parts of this country are in a mess if they follow your thinking.

Are you REALLY a Leicester fan, Daz?
Yes I am but I haven't got blue tinted spectacles. Leicester fans really can't complain about diving when Vardy was/is so good at it. That 2015/16 season he was a master of it. Take Norwich away in that season or Man utd in that 5-3 game he sped up then slowed down waiting for the contact. Clever play yes but some would say diving.

10 days isolation innit, suppose it depends when he was diagnosed
What I can't understand is, when you return from holiday abroad i.e Tenerife, you have to self isolate for 14 days, even with no symptoms, and yet he has been tested positive, and only has to isolate for 10 days. Can someone please explain ?

Daz40, I am shocked at this response by you. What about the responsibility he has to his team mates, the club who pay his wages and the fans who support him. I would be upset if this selfish action was done by a Leicester City player.

Could it be the rules of the country they go to?

Tenerife had stricter rules when we went, than England had.
I think it's down to England what rules you have to follow when you return.

armada - its due to the period of time (4~5 days) before symptoms appear. i.e. if you test positive, then you are already past that early "no symptom" period, and therefore the time to isolate is cut accordingly.

but if you have been exposed, but not showing symptoms, then potentially it could be 4~5 days before you show. and then the further 10 to be out the other side and not contagious any more.

(not sure i explained that very well...i know what i mean :))

Cheers Adumass, I fully understand your explanation.
I hadn't thought about it like that, but it makes perfect sense.
Thank you.

Can't say I understand why the Beeb story in this doesn't categorically confirm he'll be missing Sunday's game? Surely there's no grey area here?
Or are they waiting for VAR to reverse the test result?
