In recent years, there have been two New Year’s Day away trips.
1988, lost 1 - 0 and 1996 drew 1 - 1
Went to the 96 game with our friendly landlord.
Stayed the night before at the old pub he used to run ( Stick and Weasel ) on the City Road.
Definitely a night and day to remember.
There has also been two Boxing Day games , 1990 and 2005.

I was speaking the other day to a chap who’s a professional cameraman and he was telling me about an instance of filming Crimewatch in Liverpool. Did the first days filming and when they went back the following day all their gear had been nicked!
