Firstly many, many thanks to all of you have contributed so generously in the last 10 days. As Brizzlfox eloquently summarised "Micky was the Godfather and the soul of Bentley's Roof and he will be greatly missed by us all". The donations that have made in his memory are truly heartwarming.
As we now have the date for Micky's funeral I intend to close our collection on Wednesday 8th November. I will pass on the final amount to Carly as soon as possible after that.
I hope there are still quite a few more donations to come before the closing date. I trust nobody feels they need to wait until they receive a divvy from the Harpenden Building Society to also chip in for such a noble cause.
A reminder of the ways you can donate:
1. Via PayPal to me at kevward@ntlworld.com Please select the 'Family & Friends' payment option otherwise PayPal take a cut. Please leave your Roof user name so I can acknowledge receipt. The is probably the easiest way for distant contributors - national and international.
2. Via Bank transfer. Message me on my email above and I'll provide you with the necessary details
3. Cash can be passed on to me (the not so elderly (ahem) Twat In The Vegetarian Pork Pie Hat) at this Friday's Leeds game, either in the likes of the Blue Boar, The Globe, the not very secret Kings Head or I'll be hanging around the Gents (cue Rino 'joke') at half-time in the corner of L1. Please make the job a little easier by volunteering your contributions as I won't be carrying a begging bowl.
4. Anyone struggling to donate via any of these methods let me know via my email or on here and we'll sort something.
Edit: important addendum! It was my original intention to hand over our collection to Carly in person but, very regrettably, I'm not able to attend the funeral . My very lovely assistant Soho has kindly messaged me with a very helpful further alternative: "I'll make myself available to collect any last minute cash donations at the crematorium before the funeral. Want to keep it dignified but I'll be there at least 30 minutes before the service".

Many thanks for the PayPal contributions too - including some from international sources (G'Day chaps!): I've acknowledged every one with a short message reply on PP.
