Mickey Oliver

GTIF

Roofer
I felt for him last night
When the players are determined to be naughty, and they were, there is buck all you can do as a ref.
Perhaps sending the Spurs bucker off for that kick out instead of cautioning him night have helped him but the red card is the nuclear option as if that doesn't work then where have you left to go.
I remember doing a game where I sent six off after two big melees and telling the captains that if their teams kept fighting I was carrying on until we ran out of players
The assessor promoted me on the back of that game.
5 disallowed goals 11 VAR decisions 21 minutes in total added time, no matter what level you ref at how deaf huck do you prepare for that
Mickeys pre match thinking would have been these buckers don't like each other so I best be on guard, but nothing could have prepared him for that
Oliver is a top ref but overall the standard in the PL and Championship is poor

It doesn't help knowing that the wanker Neville will be spouting bollocks about everything you do.

I thought it should have been the perfect opportunity to take back control. It's getting as bad as ever now with players/managers constantly whinging and challenging the ref. Half a dozen reds last night might have given Arteta, That goofy cunt who plays for Man U, Klopp et al something to think about come next weekend?

And, whatever happened to the retrospective VAR at half time to dole out reds for incidents that might have been missed in the first half? Never seen it happen once !!

Having a chimp on speed dancing about on the touchline doesn't help, especially one that can't see a white line 2 inches in front of him but had a perfect view of one 50 yards away

Still amazed that a lot of experts, the ref and VAR classified the flying, two footed ,studs up lunge by Udogie as reckless rather than dangerous purely because Sterling happened to move the other way.

That game where Hazard scored was one of the funniest games I've seen 11 spurs players booked?

Well about 9 but should have had at least 3 reds. An independent renowned ref reassessed that match and even being liberal reckons it should have finished 9vs6 in players left in Chelsea’s favour.

It couldn't happen
If a team has less than seven players the game is abandoned

If the game is abandoned because a team has less than 7 players is the game void and then replayed or does the other team claim the game

That ‘tackle ‘ from Santos was just horrendous.
Warnock had a team of thugs.
Apparently the ref said a few years later that he didn’t send Brown or Curle off because he knew he’d have to abandon the game. That eventually happened with Sheffield U players going off ‘injured’.

The old Law used to be that an abandoned game after 80 minutes (might be corrected) for whatever reason the score stood, or before the 80 minutes the remaining minutes were played out in a replay, or in some cases the full 90 minutes were replayed…
The Ref would have known what a bunch of gobshites Spurs & Chelsea are and carded them from the start (he did try) albeit yellow or red as these Prima donnas have zero respect for the Officials and the sooner The FA bring in heavy points penalties the better as fining them is a waste of time…
