Whilst watching an awful programme(MOTD top 10 goal celebrations)
Richards comes out with
"When Leicester won the league, Spurs should have won it"
The missus woke from her slumber on the settee, & asked why I had just put my foot through the telly.
 
This is a myth which for some dumb reason keeps coming up. I think what they mean and they’re too thick to work it out, is that Spuds ‘should have won’ because they were the only one of the big 6 ( they should never even be in that) who could have won it. These ex players are too thick to realise the difference between should and could so keep peddling this rubbish.
Richards is a player who was bang average and who got lucky to play a couple of seasons for a top side. His stats show that from the age of 23 he played just 33 more PL matches in the rest of his career. He played just over 200 games in his lifetime. Yet he sits with two of THE greatest strikers in the last 50 years as pundits and you’d think he was one of the greats.

I used to work with his sister. I like him too. Carved out a niche for himself. Probably said that to get a rose out of Garreh. Apparently spends 600 a week on haircuts

An ex player who has been bigged up to seem better than he ever was. Didn’t realise how much his career tailed off. Relegated with the vile.
 
Commentator the other night Bill Lesley during the spuds match came out with the remark, “Spurs so nearly won the league in 2016” .No you thick twat they didn’t they were 11pts and a poorer goal difference behind the winners🤬🙄
