Also, who makes the decision that a story about paedophilia and rape is a "Premium" story...
 
Looking now I reckon you can read about 6 full stories a day then it's all premium,I was reading city's reports earlier,now it's all premium, what a crock of shite

Which you (or someone) had to pay for (and which incidentally was stuffed full of ads, mostly for lockstitchers and overlockers as I recall).

As for great even in those days it was often referred to as the Mockery, wasn't it?

A number of reports are clickbait for adverts, it is an absolute disgrace these days, Lawrie Simpkin (sp?) will be rolling in his grave.
Can you remember when the Sports Mercury was on sale on the streets of Leicester before 5-30pm on a Saturday, they wouldn't be able to do that now, VAR would put paid to that.
ps: I used to love coming back from Sheffield Wednesday on the train back to Leicester Central, you got on the train at Wadlsey Bridge and when it stopped in Sheffield Victoria there was always a guy selling Sheffields sports paper to passengers through the train windows.
